To Protect and to Serve II

Houston PD was serving drug warrant when multiple suspects opened fire on officers. Some reports stating at least 3 of the officers are dead. 2 suspects dead.

I watch Live PD a lot. One of my favorite shows. I think I saw that episode. Is it the one where the car rolled and the guy jumps out and drags his baby out with him? I think they got them separated and a good samaritan grabbed the child. I think it was in South Carolina if I'm not mistaken. Watching that stuff live is pretty amazing. I also like the new show that Sticks host, PD Cam. It's remarkable what some of you guys encounter. I've said this before, I have several really good friends that are LEO. They are good dudes. I am sure there are some bad ones and I have encountered a few that had attitudes when they didn't need to. The one's I know would give you the shirt of their back.

Several years ago I was playing golf on a Saturday morning with a friend. When I left that morning my 6 YO daughter wasn't feeling well and had a fever. My wife said go ahead I'll run her to the doctor. About halfway through the round she called and said that the pediatrician was very concerned and instructed her to drive her to children's hospital (He was concerned that it might be meningitis). The friend I was playing with was also friends with this cop friend of mine. Unbeknownst to me he had called our cop friend. By the time we got our clubs in the car he rolls in and gives us a police escort to the hospital. He didn't have to do that but that's the kind of guy he was.

You guys take a lot of crap both here and on the job and I appreciate what you do.
You finished the round first, I hope?

It’s bizarre because I saw something saying they were on duty in another part of town and basically away from their posts... playing Russian roulette?

In my mind, there’s a spectrum of bad behavior that is typical of badly behaving police officers. Doing something that could get you fired isn’t outside the spectrum but usually the motive is something that has a greater perceived benefit than Russian roulette.

Maybe I’m wrong, it just seems incongruent that somebody would be across town while on the clock for something as trivial as that.

Here is an update. Check out the booking photo. He has a black eye.
Something bad went down and the RR story is BS.

She was married but in the guy's apartment at 1:00 in the morning? I smell a big pile of Russian roulette BS

Alix was off duty at the time of the shooting, police said. Hendren and his partner were on duty. All three were in Hendren's apartment shortly before 1 a.m.

Don't see a police thread. 5 officers were sent to a drug warrant in Houston and were shot. Gives you an idea of what was wrong with the Stone raid (29 agents, 17 cars with two armored, and a helicoptor) and going after drug dealers(5 officers).

Anyhoo, here's what the Houston police officer Union President said.

Nobody got shot during the Stone raid did they?

That union rep needs to take out his anger on the lawmakers that are asking them to enforce these ridiculous drug laws and putting their fellow officers at risk.

Exactly... that was why I posted what I did. The union prez missed the mark completely.

Thanks for agreeing with me.
Wasn't agreeing. His speech was saying they're tired of being spotlighted as the bad guy while they protect and serve all the azzholes that think this way.

There are just a few super easy things LE could do that would win back the majority of the public that's become "anti-cop" and they simply refuse to. So this loser union rep can forget his victim mentality. If cops want to know why so many have turned against them they need to look no further then the mirror.
