Best performance by a Vols player..... maybe ever. I was just answering the question about what was the best performance you'd ever seen in College Basketball and IDK if it was because I was in the building or not but to me it was Jodie Meeks against usIt's nice to see our guy be the unstoppable one. I remember games in the 80's at Stokely where Chuck Person and Vernon Maxwell torched us on nights where they just could not miss.
Didn't take long to read something that resonates with VN..Has anyone else read the article about Jimmy Haslam and Browns? Browns dysfunction runs deep in new ESPN report, but there are 5 reasons it may be over
"The Rifleman" as Berman called Person. Now, Mad Max could play and teamed up with Andrew Moten at Florida. Max and Moten were known as the M&M boys in those days and were talking sh!t one game to my boy, Tony "The Wizard" White. Vols ending up winning and White went off. The Wizard got a steal and dunked in the last couple of minutes in that victory. White almost never dunked, he did it to rub it in on the M&M boys and I loved it and will never forget itIt's nice to see our guy be the unstoppable one. I remember games in the 80's at Stokely where Chuck Person and Vernon Maxwell torched us on nights where they just could not miss.
Oh sh!t, I've watched this dunk a 100 times, but not from this view. Awesome, thanks @eVOLve
Dale Brown did an analysis of every shot PM took in college and said if the three point line would have been instituted, he would have averaged 57/game vs. the 44 he is recorded for.
Another point, the shot clock was not inplace. Lot’s of teams played a slow methodical game at that time.
As noted earlier, Press gave him the green light every time he touched the ball.
