Recruiting Forum Football Talk [RIP 9.3.2019]

Breakdown: It would be accurate to say none of the three five-stars for Tennessee in the last four cycles have lived up to their billing. McKenzie was a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs and has been converted to an offensive lineman. Richmond, a former Ole Miss pledge who flipped to the Vols on signing day, has entered the transfer portal looking for a new home next season. And Phillips finished third on the team in tackles and second in sacks this season but really never dominated like a five-star should.

Farrell’s take: Few programs have done less with five-stars in recent years than Tennessee which speaks to the developmental issues of Butch Jones. Tennessee is hoping that changes under Jeremy Pruitt. They have a nice recruiting base in Tennessee but they have to lure five-stars out of state as well to step things up to the next level and we’ll see if they can do that.

Congrats. Many others either don't have the cash, financing, or purchasing power otherwise to handle the situation with confidence. And with dealers so averse to telling you the bottom line, and then slapping needless add-ons and fees after the deal has been agreed to, it's not exactly controversial to think it's has the propensity to be a scummy profession.

And again, my point focused on the dealership owners/principals, not the individual salespeople. Of course an dealer would rent a billboard to whine about the outcome of an NFL game.

My Dad retired from one of the Big 3 as a manager in sales. I take him every time I buy a car because he knows exactly what fees/costs are included and knows how to negotiate from the wholesale side.

Not all are shady, but I agree that it can be an intimidating process.

No, facts are facts, but why now? On the heels of an update that saw significant downgrades for several UT commits/signees, this reeks of damage control.
I hear you man. I’ve been vocal about him being full of crap. I just can’t disagree with that statement. I can’t believe he said Darnell was carrying around bad weight, then raving about Neal who is at 375 lbs. I believe he favors certain programs as well.

Face. Palm.

What a waste of time. That attorney should be disbarred.

It has crossed my mind about filing a lawsuit against the SEC for loss of enjoyment of life for the Bama backed officials (or just incompetent officials) they trot out there every year.
