Showing respect for players

Let's just sack Fulmer and get it over with.

By the way, how many national championships have we had, and who were the coaches?

Dude, it's not the Phillip Fulmer of 1998. The 1998 Phil had a pair, and wasn't afraid to put the game on the line on a play he thought would work.

The 2008 Fulmer is...................sadly...........somewhat of a coward in coaching respects. Hardly ever takes chances, ever.

Can I boo at home? Can i tell my neighbor that I am unhappy with the current situation on the hill? Can I write a negative article in my local paper concerning this lack-luster performance on Saturday afternoon? Can I question anything that the coaches do? Must I throw all negativity out the window in fear of driving away potential recruits? How far do influences go, whether negative or positive?

Vols 5150, where do we draw the line?

sorry, you can't do any of those things without vols5150's permission. that's just the way it is as a Tennessee fan

I can't think of ANYONE that can say yes to that question, can you?

We lost to UCLA. We shouldn't have.

We lost to UF. We were suppose to.

By the way.........is it totally uncommon for NCAA teams to lose to inferior teams periodically?

According to Vols5150? Probably at the end of the group of people waiting for Petros. That's your only purpose in a game, by the way.

At the stadium. Can you do that? Do you have enough class?

I cant but i also dont think any of us could run this team like we as fans all seem to keep thinking everytime after the team makes a mistake...

If this was an isolated incident we wouldn't be having this conversation. If this was an isolated season, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

It's the those who think that this is the first time and isn't the culmination of years of frustrating let downs and the same mistakes repeated over and over and over and over again.... that need to wake up.

You are a total fool. We have lost to a lot of inferior teams in recent years. And it isn't just losing to UF it is how we lost. Get a grip man.

We got beat to a UCLA team that lost to BYU 59-0 and Arizona 31-10. BYU AND ARIZONA!

We got destroyed by UF at home after a 59-20 beatdown last year and all the crap they talked about us this year.

You are delusional.

Really?

USC loss to Stanford last year. What was there record again?

Still wondering where that article is that addresses our fanbase.

It isn't there. It simply stated that we booed a bumbling, unorganized and embarrassing team... and that it will only get worse.

Vols5150 is apparently off on some total different tangent, andI think it's NEW COACH's polar opposite twin.

I would gladly take an occasional lose to an inferior team if it meant we could compete week end and week out. Instead, we lose to inferior teams on a weekly bases. Cal, Bama, UCLA. See a trend? I really think we may lose to Vandy again this year.

What can I tell you man? Your idea to get rid of Randy didn't work out, but somehow you still believe you know what's best.

We fire PF, what then. What do you purpose? Are you sure?

I didnt questioned your class as a person. But I guess when you can't answer a thought provoking question, you can attack someones class or character.

The line is drawn at the stadium! Wow, I can boo anywhere else but in the stadium!

Cal is inferior? Bama inferior? Maybe in the past.

im honestly starting to be too tired to debate all this. I do see this as a downhill trend i know and i wasnt saying it was an isolated incident (and actually this convo would come up anytime unless your team is having the same success USC has, and your odds aren't high on that...bout 1 in 119).

But by handling it the way everyone's handling it, it all just looks bad. We're more of a laughing stock inside and outside of the conference (especially media wise) because we all got up and left in the middle of a still winnable game. It just looks very bad and will keep hurting us long term b/c as far as the players can tell, this also means they're bad and that they've let you down, and the future recruits think it looks bad (i wouldnt play for fans doing that) and espn just laughs at it.

Which (and im not applying this to you) makes me wonder, are we in a position where we should as fans be demanding that college students perform well? I know we pay for the games, but we pay to go to a game for entertainment and relaxation...an escape, the money's not put in for a win.....

ugh sorry, it's getting late and at this point my brain goes towards random subject lines and deep thoughts

You completely threw me off with that. I have no idea what you're asking of me.

I wanted Fulmer and Sanders gone in 2005, not just Sanders. And I think it's laughable it was my concocted scheme to get rid of Sanders.
