You're missing one of the big points. The individual doesn't get to decide what their societal responsibilities are. (that's a biggie)
Let's assume someone decides it is their societal responsibility to take from the people with to much and give it to the people without enough.
Do they have the individual right to decide their own societal responsibilities? Of course not.
And that is why we will never agree, frankly this is the genesis of just about every atrocity committed by "society". If "society" simply respected individual rights 90% of our problems would go away.
