Did it?

22.1 ppg in Foles starts
22.0 ppg in Wentz starts
They had no running game zero nada nil. They played 15 dbs and some of these were not even on practice squads. They have no receiver to take the top off a defense. Wentz is better but with what they had to work with it is a lot more suited for Foles and that is what showed up. They resolve a couple of problems stated on offense it is better for Wentz hands down.

Well, if it's their livelihood and not a part-time gig, maybe they will spend time honing their craft. Who knows? We do know that the system as it is does not work.
To be clear, I do think that one benefit I neglected would be to simply remove that point from the dialog. It obviously doesn’t matter to me if officials are full or part time - no dog in that hunt either way. I just don’t think that making them full time would appreciably improve officiating, and I don’t think you would see many referees honing their craft when there would be no opportunities to do so in the offseason.

For the most part, I think the system works fine. It was a missed call, no doubt, but that happens. I think adding the ability to review DPI would go a long way (assuming they don’t increase the number of challenges teams get) but the game is never going to be perfect.

What am I missing with Charlton Warren? I don’t remember him doing anything here that was remarkable in his time at UT and he spent one season at Gainesville. Now UGA hires him? Maybe he is a great coach but I am not sure you could prove anything from his one year stints in the SEC

Paper tiger for us in 2017. The only reason we had the #3 pass defense is because we had like the #120th run defense.

UF always has talent, and their real strength on defense was arguably the front seven. So last year was an easy gig for him.

He's just riding the wave of demand? Each move is probably coming with a raise, so who can blame him..

The NFL is all about the show and money. Integrity of the game is a joke. Worst OT method of any sport. Part time officials calling games in an industry/business that produces $14+ B in revenues a year. Insane. Even a newb at it would know to have the replay booth review potential targeting/defenseless player PI's. CFB is way ahead of the NFL in all of it and even they still have more than can do to improve the game.

All of this, and more, is true. I don't understand why it's still such a very popular sport. But it is. I lost interest many years ago. The only games I've watch in probably the last 20 years, including SBs, are big games involving VFLs, which is basically just a couple of SBs involving PM. I watched a lot of the Saints yesterday to see AK.

I appreciate their skills, I just no longer care for what the game has become. Plus I have other priorities these days.
