I think we start 4-0 next year

How many starters does UAB return?? If our O Line still stinks, BYU and UAB could give us two very ugly black eyes on our Win Loss record.
If I remember both lost a lot, I think UAB is going to be starting a lot of young guys next year

You're setting yourself up for major disappointment and there will be several people here that will worry themselves to death over it.

Pfft.....I'm already thinking about which high-ranking UT players will hold themselves out of next year's bowl game.

I’m just looking to win some ball games with a bowl game.. if we get past 8 wins that’s super freaking fantastic. I’m just in the wait and see while we build mode
Is it just me, or are there more folks who want more than just being in a bowl? I admit I am too old and remember that just being in a bowl was a sign of an inferior program. Let's have high aspirations. We won't be winning any national championships, but let's go a little higher....expect a little more.

4-0 means a win at Florida, right? 7 wins overall should be the yardstick for Phil Pruitt's job performance this year. I don't know if it's a prediction yet, but any combination of players and coaches TN presents to the opposition should win at minimum 7 of these particular games.

Let's keep expectations in check, lol...hate being a mother hen. We'll probably lose a couple we should win, win a couple we should lose. That's a pretty safe prediction, don't ya think? I really just want a bowl game, that will be a vast improvement. Anything else, well, that would be CRAZY AWESOME and icing on the cake. Now 2020...that's when things surely start to get interesting. I think you are severely overestimating Miss St. and South Carolina. Miss St. loses Nick Fitzgerald along with most of their NFL D Line and most of a good secondary. South Carolina should be better than us but its always a toss up. I think we split the two.

Tennessee has never beaten a team coached by Muschamp either at Florida or South Carolina. So South Carolina is a loss
I know, They are not a strong team, etc etc but we can lose games that we should win
For example, all the Florida games that we should have won

Will Friend will probably call a bad game against SC, so you're probably right. Wish he wasn't our OC.

The sarcasm that 10 + years of losing brings is nothing short of incredible. I guess it's how we keep ourselves going. lol I guess all I can say is at least we are finished recruiting 5 star hearts for our Championship of life teams. lawdy lawd!

Pretty easily actually, this is gonna be the start of the climb back.

We need to at least be 3-1 going in to the first open date. We should, at least, go 3-3 over the next 6 games with 4-2 a good possibility. Kids leaving early going pro has affected or will affect several teams above us. After the 2nd open date, if we're 6-4 or 7-3 with Vandy and Missouri to play, I'd argue we're back on the right track.

I definitely have higher aspirations but I am also a realist . I want the national championship every year but let’s be honest the past few years have been hard at times. We’ve made a lot of progress though. So re read my post and I allude to wanting my but I can’t keep getting my hopes up.

I hope you're right, but I'm gonna say 3-1.
I'll never again predict we beat UF until we start doing it ... especially in the dump (er, uh, i mean swamp).

I'd give 2-2, 3-1, and 4-0 pretty equal odds right now with 3-1 the slight favorite.

1) BYU won at Wisconsin last year. Not Neyland, but an imposing venue to be the enemy team in for sure.

2) Have we won in the Swamp since 2001? I can't remember if we have.

While you are a card carrying member of the Debbie Downer crowd, I have to give you that gave me a chuckle (before I had to shed a tear) lol

Thanks for the compliment. I can't wait to find out who our backup QB is going to be.

2003. The Casey Clausen hail Mary before halftime
