Here is a view of Bama's average coaching position tenure since Saban took over in 2007.
He brought in a whole new staff with him in 2007, so the average tenure was 1 year in 2007.
The yearly averages include all positions except the head coach, so it does not include Saban's tenure in each year's average.
If a coach was promoted from within from one position to a higher position, then that was treated as year#1 for that position.
Tenure peaked in 2015 and has steadily decreased since then.
Yea it’s odd, especially the Gattis one. Saban wanted him to stay and UM is a committee of play callers.Bama OC wide open and Enos and Gattis both leave for other jobs. I know it’s been said, but that’s a huge deal. Somethings going on there
Well I wouldn't take a 5 min a** chewing for a job I just quit much less take it for 20 minutes from a screaming hobbit.
I don't think Saban chewed him for 20 minutes, but he probably did some chewing. It's not like he's all warm and fuzzy, but Gattis probably exaggerated things too.Just saying I have my doubts he did. It didn't make sense. Why would Saban chew him out trying to keep him. More like he chewed him out because he probably lied saying he was staying and Saban was like wtf. Sorry if I don't trust the word of a guy that agreed to a deal with a guy he was just working with and immediately screwed him by taking Michigan job. He royally Fd a good man in Locksley
