And Hubbs or Price etc.. saying which coach was visiting a recruit. Again, rarely mentioned CW.

Somehow, apparently with neither the recruits or the recruiting gurus ever saying a word about him, he was connecting with these guys. Heck, one recruit even referenced him by "uhh, and that Wienke guy, hard to forget a name like that".
But if he's listed as the recruiter, I'll roll with it.

Yeah, we are on the same page here. Its surprising to hear that he's suddenly regarded as a great recruiter. I'm still skeptical.

Sorry. I realized later that could have sounded like a complaint. It wasn't. It was admiration.
I seriously love how consistently unhappy (in the best sense of that word) Pastor Barnes is with the guys. Gives them a relentless pursuit of perfection. Nothing short.

Not arguing otherwise but there’s something to speak loyalty/relationship for the guy you’ve worked for at two different stops covering 6 years. And he wouldn’t be coaching under Fulmer.

I have to be fair though, Gray did mention him after he committed, said he won a Heisman.
I want him to be really good, I was just surprised how little the kids mention him.

Maybe he's carrying the cash bags 😂

so haslam hires former bama qb, freddie kitchens, as his HC for the brownies and is now acquiring coach tosh from bama as an assistant for his nfl franchise. so, in some strange cosmic twist, haslam is actually helping tennessee football by helping gut bama football and sending butch jones there, as well.

makes sense.

TV revenue is out of control and this is the engine driving coaching salaries. When that money dries up, and I believe it will, it's gonna all come crashing down. The NCAA may become powerless when the major conferences decide they've had enough and start controlling their own destiny. Their greed will eventually drive the paying customer right out of the stadiums. I think it's great that some professional athletes can get $25M to $30M per year but that can't last either.

Maybe he finally realized his only power is to destroy rather than create. Or maybe we're just finally on the right side of some cosmic joke involving the Haslams.
