Yeah, we are on the same page here. Its surprising to hear that he's suddenly regarded as a great recruiter. I'm still skeptical.I made the same mistake. Used recruits saying things like "I spent a lot of time with coach __" or " Coach _____ and I talk all the time". And it was basically never CW. Don't even remember recruits mentioning him in tweets.
And Hubbs or Price etc.. saying which coach was visiting a recruit. Again, rarely mentioned CW.
Somehow, apparently with neither the recruits or the recruiting gurus ever saying a word about him, he was connecting with these guys. Heck, one recruit even referenced him by "uhh, and that Wienke guy, hard to forget a name like that".
But if he's listed as the recruiter, I'll roll with it.
Can't wait for the meltdowns in hickville after those 3 straight shotgun pass plays from the goal lineHE'S GOING TO BE THEIR OC...ISN'T HE?

Sorry. I realized later that could have sounded like a complaint. It wasn't. It was admiration. That's what good coaches do. You have to take care of the little things ALL THE TIME. Fulk is a sub and he wants him to play like he's a starter. Doesn't matter what the score is.
Good time to be a Vol fan right nowB-ball team blows out another SEC foe
Chaney hired
Tee coming home
Wienke is now good apparently
POA has custody
Good recruiting vibes in the To’oto’o thread
Bama is being gutted but somehow Botch survives. Oh yea that’s what cockroaches do.

Good vibes man. Good vibes.
Not arguing otherwise but there’s something to speak loyalty/relationship for the guy you’ve worked for at two different stops covering 6 years. And he wouldn’t be coaching under Fulmer. With Fulmer and Tee and Fair here already, I think Graham would love to come home again. I know nothing, but I'll take Fulmer over Jimbo every time and especially so if we're talking about a VFL.
In this case I disagree. He was asked a question and he answered it. I guess he could've just said "that's over, I don't want to talk about it". But I also don't think it's unreasonable for him to just answer the question. It's the media that kept it going.
I have to be fair though, Gray did mention him after he committed, said he won a Heisman.Yeah, we are on the same page here. Its surprising to hear that he's suddenly regarded as a great recruiter. I'm still skeptical.

TV revenue is out of control and this is the engine driving coaching salaries. When that money dries up, and I believe it will, it's gonna all come crashing down. The NCAA may become powerless when the major conferences decide they've had enough and start controlling their own destiny. Their greed will eventually drive the paying customer right out of the stadiums. I think it's great that some professional athletes can get $25M to $30M per year but that can't last either. If you're gonna continue jacking up the prices up tickets then I don't see how you can't pay the assistant coaches more
so haslam hires former bama qb, freddie kitchens, as his HC for the brownies and is now acquiring coach tosh from bama as an assistant for his nfl franchise. so, in some strange cosmic twist, haslam is actually helping tennessee football by helping gut bama football and sending butch jones there, as well.
makes sense.
