Buchanan is the one actually running the country. Well, Buchanan, Rush, Hannity, and Ann Coulter. Trump is just a figurehead.
P.S. Buchanan wrote an article telling Trump to declare a state of emergency a couple of days ago.

I read the "do not go gentle into that good night" line and said no ******* way does he even know who Dylan Thomas is and then I saw he was quoting Buchanan.

The howler in the argument to me is that he's assuming all ICE deportations are of people who crossed the southern border illegally. But ICE deports lots of folks, not just those who crossed the US-Mexico border illegally.

Pretty shocking passage from the Buchanan article:

I don't find it shocking that you don't find it shocking.

Interesting that this makes it clear that for Republicans this is really about changing demographics (the browning of America) and not illegal immigrant crime or bringing "law and order" to the immigration system.
