Conspiracy Theory........

How was Hamilton supposed to know that Pete Carroll would leave for the NFL, thus creating an opening at USC, thus causing Kiffin to leave us? Because Kiffin had a decent chance at being successful here if he had stayed.
That's why it's a conspiracy theory... You are asking the correct question! The truth is out there! 🤔

Mike Hamilton, not Dabo is the true architect of the Clemson success. Hamilton is a graduate of Clemson. He worked in the athletic department. Clemson during the Fulmer Hall of Fame and best in Tennessee era was 120-85 for 58% winning. While playing in the horrific ACC mind you. Not a single 10 win season. They had 4 - 9 win seasons. Why?? Because all the players that Clemson (and Georgia in some regard) are getting now used to come to Tennessee. But his destruction of the program starting in 2004 set it all in motion. Tajh Boyd, a Tennessee commit, was the real beginning of Clemson. But Hammy's hire didn't want him. And that is now history. Look at just this current situation. Trevor Lawrence, Tee Higgins, Rogers alone would have been at Tennessee. So would Mays for that matter. There would have been no dip had Hamilton stayed out of it. In fact, there would have been no Hamilton had the President at the time not decided to have a public AD search causing all candidates to back out. Leaving Hammy. There would be no Clemson as we know it now without Hammy. He even ruined baseball just to hire his Clemson buddy Todd Raleigh. He was sent to Knoxville on a platter because the Clemson coach (Todd's college coach at WCU Jack Leggett) told Hammy to hire him.

So did Hammy destroy Tennessee athletics on purpose or by accident? Many have asked that question. He systematically destroyed the entire athletic department as if he had a checklist and was being paid to do so. And the main beneficiary??? Klempson!!

No, this took a real futile and stupid gesture and they were just the guys to do it.

Well, what about three other things: (1) Had Cutcliffe stayed, our offense is better coached. Cutcliffe gets recruiting back on track. When Cutcliffe left for Ole Miss our recruiting took a dip. Now with better recruits and a good OC, Fulmer stays on board and amassed more wins than the General
(2) Urban Cried being hired at Florida hurt Tennessee
(3) Miami Dolphins not signing Drew Brees caused Saban to leave Miami and head to Bama. You can't win in the NFL without a great QB

If you mean he is responsible by way of messing up Tennessee which allowed Clemson to pick up some studs headed our way then yes I suppose.

How about we all admit Clemson has a great staff in a great area with fans who support their team and don’t question every little thing.

I’d love to have that staff at UT.

Seriously tho you may be right OP but I really doubt there is some conspiracy to take down UT by anyone. It's more like a case of bad hires and bad decisions by people in charge.
Correct. And if you truly wanted to take down a legit blue blood program, wouldn’t you go after a bigger fish than Tennessee which, historically, isn’t quite in the club amongst the best programs in the country? Why would anyone target Tennessee in particular for their nefarious multi-layered evil plot? OP is just connecting coincidental dots brought on by a guy (Hamilton) who was just really incompetent and not very good at his job.

Hammy hired Kiffin and if he would have stayed (not Hammy's fault) probably would have had success. Hammy hired Pearl and if Pearl would have been honest (not Hammy's fault) he would probably still be here. Two of the hires Hammy made had great potential but they didn't work out. Again, not because anything Hammy did. Yeah, he could have had a better contract on Kiffin making it harder for him to leave and He could have backed Pearl after the fact but he didn't. On the other hand, the baseball hire was a complete and utter failure. Two out of three ain't bad. Hammy also helped with getting a lot of the facilities upgraded. However, I guess when you're the Boss you get the blame when things go south.
