Could it be Chaney?

Saw this on Twitter. Dude isn’t hugely known but has been practically spot on to this point with things Tennessee. I’d still take it with a grain of salt.

I wouldn't say he is spot on, he tweeted expect an announcement next week back on December 8th.

Well if it’s true that he still has his lake house here it might be as simple as wanting to come back to the area. I’m not sure how old Chaney is but maybe he and his wife want to stay in one place finally and to them Knoxville might be that place.

Makes sense but why not finish your career then retire at a different location. Coaches getting fired always goes so well and all..

Friend is the OL coach. Pittman is an OL coach. Why would Pruitt have 2 OL coaches?

Either you have 2 OL/TE coaches (has happened before) or since you re having to drop or have a coach leave to bring in Pittman you move Friend to a different position. More than likely be RBs.

And honestly looking at our OL, if those 2 coaches worked well together I'd go with the first idea.

Interesting. I didnt think of that. So the thinking is that Weinke may be gone?

I agree, and yet numerous people here wanted Fulmer to step in and help Friend this year. Maybe Pittman could coach interior OL and Friend could coach OTs. Blue font. Seriously, at this point if it's a package deal, CJP may have to find a way to make it work.

IMO, if there is a chance Pittman wants to come to TN, then Pruitt needs to do whatever it takes to get him. While I do believe Friend is a good coach, Pittman has proven he can be elite. Especially in the SEC. i dont know how both would work together. Seems like each would be wanting to be the alpha so to speak. Who knows?

Agreed. Friend is a good coach. Pittman is just better.

Co OL? Maybe one would coach tackles and the other take the interior linemen possibly?
