The overruling of the Freeze hire is now taking it's toll. My guess is a CO-OC promotion with Osovet and Friend announced soon. I personally don't think anyone will force CJP to hire anyone against his will.

Matthews talks to Fulmer regularly. I doubt this was just a matter of Matthews throwing crap against the wall. I would guess conversation with fulmer made him believe we were close to having someone. Matthews isn't going to say that and throw Fulmer under the bus. Fulmer is a friend and also a point of access to the program for Doug.

I could be wrong. Hell we're all speculating but I doubt Matthews just threw out something like this randomly without having some information that led him to believe it

He never said he talked to Fulmer, everyone just assumed he did because "they are BFF".

Maybe he knew that's what everyone would think so he took a gamble. And lost?

Since we're all just speculating.

Whenever you use specific percentages in things like this, then you are likely throwing **** against the wall or speculating. JMO and I don’t have any way to without a shadow of a doubt to prove that..........much like everyone else here.

He said he talked with Fulmer. Didn’t ask him a name because he didn’t want to keep something from his audience.

I am more concerned about the direction of this board than UT Athletics.

Why do you come to this board? Knowledge of UT athletics? If so, why attack someone who gives out information? People share the information they have at that time. Things are fluid. Things change. We have lost a lot of posters with legit info over the years because they get attacked. In the end it hurts the board. It dries up the access to the rumors. If it is not announced by UTK, it is a rumor.

Mathews has a connection with Fulmer. He is not the decision maker, therefore he can only share what he is hearing.

Don't shoot the messenger.
