At this point I think it's Sarkisian as long as an NFL team doesn't offer him first. I think he still wants to coach in the NFL.

Skipped a few pages, but have we talked about wvu hiring Brown in 3 days? Seems like a prettt dang good hire in short amount of time, even if they knew back in December Holgorson was out regardless.

No one on VN had any interest in Brown at UT though...(I agree it's a good hire for WVU, hope he does well there too)

Yeah but did they attend the coaches convention, that is the real question

His name was constantly referenced in THIS OC search. Argued with a couple who thought that being an OC at UT would get him a P5 job faster than running a giant killer as a HC. 😉

in fairness, is it really a leap to say leaving Troy for WVU if offered, would take that long? and let's be honest, it's not like WVU was going to steal any big name coaches. they fished in the waters they were supposed to, and got their fish.

i mean, once we decided we wanted Butch Jones, we got him in less than a day. stole him right off the Colorado alter. don't think Dooley ever came to Knoxville for an actual interview, accepted the job on the phone...lol.

i have a feeling there were probably a dozen or so P5 jobs he would have bolted Troy for. let's not make it out like WVU accomplished something no one esle could.
