So, about that OC position.... (Merged)

Didn’t they average nearly 500 yards of offense in 2017?
In 2017, with Tyson Helton helping Tee and making the majority of 3rd down and red zone calls. Tee went solo this year for the first time and failed miserably. Also that tweet, was Tee's first game coaching that offense solo Tyson left to take the UT OC job

Maybe you’re right...

I'm leaning towards either 1) no one wants it. 2) Pruitt botched it, 3) a combo of both.

I'd imagine they are not saying anything to prevent the massive meltdown like the HC hire.. but sometimes you gotta give a little bit.
I think you are correct except on the point that Pruitt botched it. I believe Fulmer botched it with denying him the right to hire Freeze.

I just need help in understanding how Tee would be different than Helton. They were both in the same system. There would be the same issues here if he were hired.

Reposted. We seem to be at the bargaining stage with all the co-OC theories out there, though impressively some have moved on the last two stages and are speaking in favor of any theory whatsoever. We will all move on to the last two stages once the turd is dropped:

The Stages of Vol Fan Acceptance Of Yet Another Lousy UTAD Decision (SVFAYALUTADD).

Stage 1 is shock
Stage 2 is denial
Stage 3 is anger
Stage 4 is bargaining.
Stage 5 is acceptance
Stage 6 is embracing.

Lebby is the name being kicked around on TOS and after some research I think I really like it. Guy has had some serious success at lower levels and he's worked with Art and Kendal Briles previously. I do think it's a risky hire compared to the other guys mentioned, but I really like his upside.
Who are we competing against to hire him?

Risky hire, with a high reward.

I just don't think Tennessee could endure another Sal Sunseri situation.

Who says he didn’t multitask? Lol just because there were no reports of him traveling anywhere doesn’t mean he wasn’t talking to people.....

I know it is hard to believe but they invented these things called cell phones.....
The post I replied to said he was concentrated in recruiting, and not hiring an oc. I asked why he couldn't seem to do both. But obviously we are on different sides of the argument, you likely being that this oc hire is going as planned and me being on the side that its just another UT coaching hire disaster.

Pics or I won't believe you
