With the time Pruitt is taking it indicates it is important and he wants to get it right. This may go to the coaches convention.

BTW Friend does have so OC experience but he is not what we need.

Honestly I wanted to take the bet but its gonna be a pain in my ass to change my avi back to what it is if I lose and I didn't want to take the chance, but F it.

If Friend is named OC I lose and will change my avi to the one of your choice for 30 days. If its confirmed it was the plan all along, I leave it for 180.

If its not Friend, you change for 45 days, because obviously it never was him. Lol.

Evening update from Hubbs. Pruitt interviewed guys early, didn't like Briles, so said no to him. Freeze was first choice and was kiboshed by someone above Pruitt, no idea if he means SEC level or not. Liked Yurchic and offered him but Yurchic went to Ohio State. Said Pruitt decided to reset the search after the holidays and is now onto other plans.

Some people actually have a problem with the whole Baylor thing. I don't have enough information on it, but Im not gonna judge someone else because they don't like it.

There is a stink around that program that will take many, many seasons to remove. Not saying it's deserved, it just is.

I'm not sure it was the Baylor issue. I believe it was the type of offense or OL coach issue. I don't think you interview people that you have a moral issue hiring. He clearly wanted to hire Freeze who has as much or more baggage.

I get what you're saying but he has now been vetted by 3 different programs since he was at Baylor.

Definitely have an issue with rape and covering up rape but I personally can't see 3 programs hiring the younger Briles if there were still questions about his involvement or lack of.

Seems like the guilty parties in that matter are serving their time or paying their respective prices.

Also took the comment I responded to regarding Hubbs' reporting that Pruitt didn't personally like Briles, not that it had to do with the scandal.

If someone higher up said no to Freeze but it was OK to talk with Briles, seems to be another reason to feel like his culpability in the Baylor matter was limited.

Did he say who his sources are? If there’s any truth to it, that info came from within the program. CJP and others won’t be happy.

I get that, I was just responding to the "what's there to like about Briles" comment. I wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or not.

And, I'm not sure everyone would agree that Freeze has "much more" baggage.

But like I said, I would have been fine with either and we ain't gettin either so....
