You can personally believe what you want, but 247, the best in the biz imo, confirmed it. For whatever reason it didnt work, but we took a legitimate shot at him.

We are glad to announce the promotion of Coach Will Friend to Offensive Coordinator. Coach Friend has no prior experience as an Offensive Coordinator, but we have been friends from way back. Coach Friend will enhance an already deadly offense that scored an amazing 13 points against Vanderbilt

Whether you like it or not, Kiffin is the best. Lots of so called Vol fans have much too big of an ego to admit it ! Just be real honest and answer one serious question.....................name only one offensive corrd tht is better !!!!

I would think that CJP is being asked the question about hiring an OC by every Offensive recruit he is talking to and I also think he would be telling them more than is being leaked by “sources” so it’s not like the TN recruiters are just avoiding the question and looking dumb to the recruits. If that were the case we wouldn’t have signed as many O recruits on ESD as we did.

Except he does have OC experience and done a good job at it and yes he called plays even though some on here will say Bobo did but that's not accurate. CWF is a good coach but gets criticism non stop for some reason. Our oline sucked this year plain and simple but it doesn't matter who was coaching that group, Will Friend is an excellent oline coach rather people want to believe it yet or not that's the truth. We could definitely do worse than him as OC but it's already been stated 3 million times he doesn't want it but yet it still comes up.

I feel confident the decision has already been made in principal.... someone who is still coaching at this point or recently finished their season. We would not have received the early signing commitments we did if the coaching situation was as much of a fluster cuck as some on here think it is!

Sounds like we have 95% left to do and 5% done.

Don’t like that we are just now getting around to talking to people. I want to get the right hire, just don’t understand how this isn’t a priority for him to get this done.

Then "top-notch coordinator" should go get a head coach job because that's what head coaches do.
