Side rant:

I'm working late and there's a cube-mate two desks down who's working while being on a personal call. "Pick so-and-so up from practice"; "Did so-and-so go to Kroger yet".. she's been yapping for like a half hour now. She's really sweet but shitwow I'm so tired of hearing everything about her personal life. My ears are tired of wearing earbuds. It's after hours, I just want to enjoy the silence and get some stuff done, because it's NEVER this quiet, but it's her that's screwing it all up. Figure it tf out and end the dang call already. Holy.

In this decade it is, current conditions do count..but let me say this one more time...clearly so you will shut up about it..

Mehlan did a great job at MSU...Happy?

Deleted a really gross line here about your teeth and Dans pubes...
Tennessee has more resources, spend tons more money, is more appealing and is 1000000x easier to recruit to, they aren’t comparable, just stop. You must have mighty low expectations for this program and the coaches we hire if you think MSU and UT program is similar

I’m not even talking about Mehlan lol

I didn’t appreciate Dan Brooks enough when he was in Knoxville. But I revered him in comparison to Garner. Garner has always been a superstar recruiter who holds a placemat as an on-field coach. Brooks knocked both out of the park!

I was familiar with brooks but not garner so I don’t know much about him, Dabo must think highly of Dan for him to still be on staff,a lot of Clemson success comes from their D-Line in my opinion and that’s because of Dan’s SEC pedigree when it comes to coaching.I think without Dan Clemson would be all offense with little help from the defense.

Nevermind, you know exactly what I mean, and are just being deliberately obtuse to try and get a rise out of me. Go find a magazine article about Meh you can fap to.

Go troll somebody else for awhile and leave me alone.

If you are a weak minded puss, then yes. I want to win even if playing tidley winks or whatever else.

It's not about wanting to win. It's about playing with an edge and with your hair on fire.

No other sport is so closely tied to mentality than football. It's easily lost and very hard to gain it after lomg periods of failure

It wouldn't be surprising to see some internal reshuffling. Pruitt has guys he trusts and wants to put in on-field positions. Sark and Enos are known commodities and worked for Saban, so there's a comfort level there. I think Pruitt and Canada would clash. Ditto Chaney. Recruiting is important, but eliminating power struggles and staff discord are essential to a rebuild. We have to have all oars rowing in the same direction. Fulmer has reiterated that.
Really appreciate your thoughts and feedback on the subject. I guess whatever makes Pruitt confident in success is what matters most.

Sort of surprised to hear Chaney and Pruitt would not get along as I have only heard good things previously about Chaney with other staffs.

yea I’m fully aware of what point you were trying to make, it was a bad one. Ok so taking MSU and UT to top 10 isn’t similar?

No thanks I prefer this over a magazine DEF15F5F-027D-45A3-A6A0-846D9C83B02E.gif

(*to change the subject*)

Saw a poll on Twitter earlier, and wanted to get VN's reaction to it.

"Your NFL team can have any one of the following, fresh out of college, for the next decade. Who do you pick??"

Emmitt Smith
Barry Sanders
Jim Brown
Walter Payton
Eric Dickerson
Adrian Peterson
LaDainian Tomlinson

I'll hang up and listen.
Jim Brown.

Could have done without some of the hyperbole, but the nuts and bolts aren't wrong.
If you mean everything about our struggles on the field, sure. Every single part about searches was loose factoids mixed with pure speculation.
Odd given the title was literally "the reality" of the search.

Hopefully Fitz can get the strength program back to the heights of Coach Stucky. His strength and conditioning knowledge still runs deep. Bama fans can thank him for passing his knowledge to Coach Moffitt at LSU who then mentored Scott Cochran. I remind a coworker of mine who is a Bama fan of this tidbit often. He doesn't wanna hear it.

Especially true with kids at the FBS level. They're all used to being studs. Many of them were good enough to single-handedly win state championships for their teams. Then they come in and either lose their confidence due to riding the bench or due to being stuck in a program with an incompetent coach. Very difficult to get those kids back on track. You've only got them for 4-5 years, and most of the time they're already juniors or seniors by the time a coaching change is made, and they've seen the program start to spiral downward. Gotta start fresh with new recruits most of the time.
