Nick Saban is such an unbelievable coach that people think he should go undefeated every yearšŸ˜‚

He has 20 losses in 12 seasons, 6 came in first season, 5 national titles, playing for a sixth, tied with most national titles by any HC in history, and he did it in the most competitive era.

Thank God he won’t coach 38 seasons like Bear

Imagine if Saban never left for the NFL back in the day and had all this success at LSU. It would be wild to think how things for us might have been different without having to face Saban every year at bama.

He’s on that same pedestal for the media and committees. UCF went undefeated for 2 regular seasons and still couldn’t get in the playoff. Bama loses to a team that lost the conference championship game and made the playoffs. Same goes for Urban. I was honestly shocked they weren’t put in the playoff this year. But I guess when the choice is a team that lost to Purdue or a team that lost to Texas and is led by the heisman winner they couldn’t put them in over the 4th undefeated team without being blatant about their favoritism so they just went with OU.
Just because you were undefeated in a crappy conference doesnt mean you are better than OU or OSU

My (likely unpopular) opinion of Chaney: Brilliant offensive mind, schemer, and developer of talent.... mediocre to poor play caller.

His play calling was maddening during the Dooley era. We had a very explosive offense. We could score points. But, his play calling just wasn't conducive to complementary (winning) football. Our D was so bad. But we had so many drives that went 1st down: Chuck it deep, 2nd Down: Chuck it deep, 3rd Down: Chuck it deep, 4th Down: Punt. Our Swiss Cheese Sal D needed a rest and to be off the field as much as possible in order to win games. We had good running backs. But we were a pass first offense with hardly any rhythm.

His play calling style -- which is very very aggressive -- could hardly be considered a good match for Pruitt's ball control personality.

Georgia was #2 in the SEC in time of possession. That seems to directly refute your position here.

But Pruitt has not seemed to be going after ball control OCs.

Yes. He made that thread last night saying it's a done deal, Cheney is coming to UT. He's the same guy that made a thread and broke the news Jancek was going to be fired. Really hope he goes 2 for 2 on these...

Embrace Will Friend, all of these ā€œmissesā€ are preparing you for the inevitable. It’s coming just like ear hair and constipation
