So, is there any chance our long national nightmare will end this week and we get an OC announcement by Friday? God I hope so.

Pfft. Not even worried about time frame now.
He could have promoted Friend (I.E), in the first few days and if we had "meh" results, it's a small red flag with small push back from the vocals. But we've allowed them, media, etc, time to simmer.
If the name AND play calling end up being mid-pack in 2019, talking heads, negative recruiting and our "passionate fans" will have it under a national microscope.

No need for reasonable responses, I'm not talking about me or other reasonable people. Just reality surrounding UT. We all know of successful coaches that never would've been given the same amount of time if they were here. Even Fulmer can only keep the wolves at bay for so long.

Please just make the right hire.

In fairness, he might have beat better teams at a similar rate to his losses to less talented teams. We just have no way of knowing.
He has had the #1 or #2 recruiting class for over a decade..They are stacked with 5* and high 4* 3-4 deep at every position. When you take recruiting, development and management into account then he is unquestionably the greatest HC ever, but if you are JUST talking on field and practice decision making and coaching..then there are others just as good, maybe even better. He is no genius innovator or tactician.

An analogy I think nails this...He is Ulysses S. Grant not Robert E. Lee. Every single team in CFB meets Bama on an uneven playing field, UGA and some others are close to stacking that kind of ordinance, but not as deep yet.

Nick Saban is such an unbelievable coach that people think he should go undefeated every year😂

He has 20 losses in 12 seasons, 6 came in first season, 5 national titles, playing for a sixth, tied with most national titles by any HC in history, and he did it in the most competitive era.

Thank God he won’t coach 38 seasons like Bear
You're an idjit. You are trolling. You know that the argument is valid. He has had a massive talent advantage on every team he has played since 2011-12 or so. That is why if he is the greatest tactician ever, he should have never lost a game.

If Fromm doesn’t miss 10 wide open throws.... I’ve got UGA
Georgia is the same old georgia. They have had superior talent for years and have choked every year since Walker was there. They always find a way to lose at least one or two games a year and don't have to play Bama every year. I realize that we are not at the talent level of Georgia, but we have beaten them a few times in the last few years with no where the talent they have.

Eventually, people will realize that Kirby is not a very good coach. If he had UT talent at Georgia, he wouldn't even hit .500.

With the results from yesterday, playoff committee got it right, again--no changes to college football playoffs. While Kirby has monster recruiting classes, he doesn't appear to be the great coach that Georgia fans hoped. They were not at all prepared for that game.

Probably already preparing for Bama next year.
