Regarding the Colts owning the Titans, I mean yeah, but hell, there was a time when the Dolphins owned the Patriots lol. It’s just the ebs and flows of the league. The Colts happened to fall ass backwards into 2 straight generational QBs, and while that sucks for us, it just is what it is.

I'm not sure why McNair has became such a legend in Titans history. He was a game manager in our super bowl contending years in the late '90s. His co-MVP season wasn't even particularly impressive and very much an anomaly when looking at his career. Even less impressive than that is his overall resume in the playoffs. If people think of Mariota as an average QB that has his moments, then I don't see how you can look at McNair and say he's anything different than that.

Meh. I agree to a small extent. He was pretty average up through around 2000. But make no mistake, he was a damn good QB from ‘01-‘03. His numbers might not jump off the screen at you, but that was also a different era. Having watched him play during those years, I can honestly say he was one of the league’s better QBs, if only for a short while.

I do think that McNair’s death has sort of deified him to a certain degree so that his career seems better than it actually was, but regardless of any cards Mariota has thrown on the table, McNair is by far the best QB this franchise has seen since Moon.

McNair won over people by his toughness and as a team leader. I don't think it's fair to criticize Mariota for injuries he can't help, but at the same time perception is reality. And McNair wins in that department. Also as game manager he lead the team to a Super Bowl and another AFC Championship Game when he had evolved past that. That just wins you points because that's how it is.

Gotta disagree on this as nothing I have ever read/heard on Mariota even remotly comes close to what we know of Ben's personality on/off the field.
