I don't think he's working for free today. His initial contract was to expire last night. That was a contract he signed in 2016. Knowing Jim I can't believe he hasn't gotten an extension to that in the last couple of years.

Now, there are some around town who continue to mention Chaney's name and Jim has some close friends in Knoxville.

He did have the qb coaching duties taken away from him last year as Smart really likes coach Coley and wanted to keep him when Texas A&M cam calling a year ago.

Chaney is in a good situation at Georgia. Not sure he would want to leave it.

Went for 2 WAY too early and then didn't go for it the next time when they had a chance to correct the issue. Should be a 3 pt game

I think Sark has a higher ceiling than Chaney. Chaney is good, but we know what he is. Not sure he has the ability to come in and give us a championship offense. You can argue that he's held GA back and that may be why it's possible they're letting him go.

I'm not sure if you've watched the games but it wasnt Chaney that has held them back. Its Kirby.
