I'm sure it was fine back in the day when crowds were 5k to 10k in size and only a handful of people rang them. Now though there's too damn many people ringing those bells and it sounds bloody awful on tv.

I agree with this to some extent, but I also think that focusing on recruiting and waiting to make a hire until silly season is in full swing probably wasn’t a bad call once the top choice (Freeze) was off the board.

The last week of the NFL/Bowl season is always when staff situations become really fluid all around the country. If you rush to hire someone in December just cuz, you never know if a better candidate may become available first week of January.

I never expected big big things this season.Pruitt did manage to get some nice wins under his belt but what you are seeing now are the after affects of a AD that has overly blown sunshine up Pruitts A$$
,concerning the “Long overhaul turn around “
we will need to start winning big big games again.Pruitt knows he’s here for the long time and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon,which why there is zero urgency like this OC hire situation,pruitt knows no matter what move he makes he will have Fulmers full support even if it’s a questionable move/Hire.The get it right the first time scenario is BS especially when you have top name proven coaches coming off the board being hired by other schools and you’re left with what has occurred up until now “no coach”.

Not really. If his strengths don't align with our strengths, he might find a better fit somewhere else. Take Dobbs for instance, can you imagine how bad the Vols would have been without his talents? On the other hand he may have not seen the field at another program.

Both Butch and Rich Rod have ties to WVU. It's the only reason I can think of as to why his name would come up. WVU is too good of a program for him. I do think CBJ would be a very good G5/lower level P5 coach.
