You think doctors today get kickbacks for prescribing drugs? I don't know what world you are living in. Let me be the first to tell you that I am a physician and know many more doctors than you ever would. The vast majority of us care about our patients and have worked and studied our asses off to give the best advice and information. Statins are AMAZING medicines that save lives in people with ASCVD. You think statins are money makers for physicians?? Get the **** out. We love not prescribing medicines, but they are an adjunct to lifestyle measures that save lives.

I just hope people around you aren't neglecting their physicians for your "medical advice". Recommending diet only in someone with an a1c of 10? That's medical neglect

10 is way to high for an a1c though.. I personally would be losing weight, changing diet , etc. before trying statins.

Agreed. I supported CBJ until he proved he couldn’t coach just like Dooley although he proved it much earlier than CBJ. I knew Dooley couldn’t coach after the LSU game. I have severe doubts about Pruitt after the Missouri and Vandy games. The defense looked terrible and the team played like it had given up on Pruitt. It is troubling
Yeah...cause Pruitt forgot how to coach defense..

Correct and the UT administration has either ignored that fact or doesn’t believe it. We have several built in disadvantages as compared to Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Texas A and M
Yep - our biggest issue hasnt been that we won’t spend money necessarily. The issue has been that we’re not super attractive to top candidates and we won’t spend the money to bridge that gap. And also it’s always felt like we have a lot of decision makers who want the credit of finding the next diamond in the rough instead of just paying a known commodity.

We’ve done it twice in our athletic history to my knowledge: we spent big for Rick Barnes and Johnny Majors. And both of those hires worked.

As an aside, I am shocked that Kingsbury declined an offer to go back to Houston as a HC. He was a very successful assistant there. He must really think he can get an inside track to the USC job.

Ben is still good but inconsistent. He will play well then totally crap the bed one game.
ben was a stat king this year. great fantasy player. he was definitley not what i would consider clutch. he threw the ball away A LOT more than anyone liked. i agree with you that Ben was holding the offense back to some degree. i still don't buy that there weren't locker room issues for the steelers this year.

i think Tomlin should be fired. but he won't be. they just don't make knee jerk decisions like that.

and the bigger issue for the steelers this year was definitely the defense. as inconsistent as Ben was, in what was a stat racking year, the offense did have double digit leads several times this year that the defense couldn't protect. the steelers should have/could have wone 2-3 more games easily had the defense been able to stop some folks in the 2nd halves of games.

So, you're saying that our AD, Phillip Fulmer, is not completely dedicated to winning. It's been said that drugs and alcohol may cause brain damage. You may have experienced some brain cell loss dude. Fulmer is all about winning--in all sports.

False!...Holly Warlick is still coaching here.

Which is a sub point to the one Im making. Its not that UT isn't spending money. For that reason alone it says Mullen wasn't coming here.
yeah, he was waiting to see what happened with UF. and if we were going to get mullen, we'd of way overpaid for him.

Yea good post. You can’t tell me the whole Bell thing wasn’t a major distraction for the team all year, couples with Ben having a weird year and turnovers.. Tomlin is def at fault too. Think a change of scenery is needed for both parties. Like Andy Reid and philly.

It’s obviously way too early to tell and i hope it’s not true in pruitts case but some people are better coordinators than HCs. It’s a whole different job.
I know that, but he called out the defensive performance in particular. Pruitt coaches the defense..please lets not get started on personnel vs coach again. This is now two elite DCs, more than a few have said Pruitt is the best, that could not get consistantly good production out of the unit as a whole..

yeah, i think Ben's ego has gotten too big. which would be fine if he was producing like guys named Brees, Rodgers or Brady.

i think the offensive staff placates Ben to a certain degree, and in an locker room with egos like AB, i think Big Ben's is probably the biggest.

the only reason he gets along with this offensive coordinator is because he lets him do whatever he wants out there. it's annoying.

anyway, all you need to know is that hte steelers put themselves in the Browns' hands. and when you do that, bad things happen.

they need to make some changes, and honestly, i kinda hope Ben retires, and they just start over on defense, especially in the front 7. the secondary gets a lot of grief, and with production like they've put up, i can see why....but the reality is they don't stop the run consistently, and the pass rush is extremely inconsistent.

i think they're better at corner than they are at Safety. jmo.

LSS, they were very frustrating to watch this year...

not to nit pick, but LSU's admin hasn't proven to be any better than ours. Joe Alleiva has looked like a clown wiht how he handled Miles in back to back years, whiffing on his dream coaches, twice, and losing that pissing contest with Foley about rescheduling the UF game a couple years ago.

good for them that so far Coach O has worked out, but that wasn't the grand design, and i still think it has a shelf life of jus a few years.

aTm has zero resource issues whatsoever, and should probably be considered the next one to join the fray with UGA and Bama atop the conference. LSU, Auburn, FL (and TN) should be that next group of programs in the SEC right now.

sadly, we're not. the other 3 are. right now, at least for the next couple years, i'd just like to see us get back to beating our November schedule regularly again.

Your evidence that he is not dedicated to winning is pointing out a coach that is like 12-1. And I say that as someone who knows she is a terrible x's and o's coach. But she is elite recruiter and wins lots of games. Hopefully she retires soon and leaves a cupboard full of studs.

Yeah...cause Pruitt forgot how to coach defense..

No one is suggesting that but there is a legitimate fear that he is a product of great talent as opposed to his great schemes. He admitted that he ran the same schemes vs. Vandy as the UT head coach that he ran st Alabama. It isn’t a mystery as to why coaches look “great” at Alabama. Mike Lockesley is a prime example. He was probably one of the worst head coaches in the history of college football at New Mexico and a terrible OC at Maryland yet he looks like a genius at Bama

I'm seeing Kitchens mentioned for a few NFL head coaching openings. I think it's safe to say he'll have better opportunities than a college OC position.
