How it any different than the way fooley left? Yes, fooley.
Butch's 1st year= no bowl app and vandy lost just like pruitt's 1st year... I think fooley is worse b/c we had no bowl wins, not that many drafted players, and graduation rate was worse under fooley. Both were bad, I just think butch the lesser of 2 evil.
The program was no where near as devastated, radioactive and hopeless when Bitch took over. That is on him.

It’s more that I’m taking up for some of the players that he brought in here. I’ve seen them totally change their practice schedule, bodies, workouts commitment etc. some of them aren’t as good as we hoped but they aren’t a bunch of pathetic quitters. Idgaf about butch. I just don’t want the players to be blamed for every loss but get no credit for the wins. That goes for JG too. He even gets some credit from me lol
Great post.

Beat the team that played in the acc championship too. I don't see p5 teams wanting to schedule us unless it's an unbalanced agreement. And somehow the past 2 years we've had to cancel p5 games due to hurricane. In 2 different states. Haha. Tried to get in the big 12 and acc. Joined the big east and it changed to the aac the first year. Haha people act like UCF doesn't want to get in a more prestigious conference and play a tougher schedule. They have done everything they can to get that. They said beat Auburn and go undefeated again and you'll be considered. Well that didn't work either. Making noise is the only thing left. And it at least is getting the program talked about constantly so its worth it.

The hurricane cancellations are tough. But at some point, you are going to have to schedule 2 for one agreements if you really want to take the next step. UCF doesn’t have the leverage. I believe UF has publicly said they would offer a 2 for one. You have to do what’s best for your program and if that takes going somewhere twice to your one home game, then do it.

Butch>Dooley
I swear I do not see how any sane Vol fan can feel that way...he absolutely destroyed this program on the way out, it almost feels like he deliberately sabotaged it. What he did accomplish means less than zero to me because of the dead rotted carcass of the Tennessee program that he left behind.

The program has basically been a carcass for ten years and the only thing close to success we ever had was under Butch. It wasn't good enough and he had to go. I like Dooley more on a personal level. But Butch was more successful here, period. Multiple victories over our rivals. Multiple bowl wins. Kiffin, Dooley, and Pruitt have done none of this yet.

You should be a fiction novelist. You just have a way with words

What did Dooley leave behind? Same thing as butch. Bad roster, bad culture, ect. The difference is Butch actually had a few enjoyable years. You’re telling me you felt better about our program at the end of 2012 than you did in 2017? Or 2013 vs 2018? I sure didn’t...
