It's not about money. Florida makes plenty of money and will get their home game money regardless. They don't wanna give up home field advantage and risk a loss. Florida only offered it because they got called out for their ad being on the playoff committee and ducking UCF in the peach bowl. We get Stanford next year so hopefully that helps a little.

Like I said before though. I don't really have a problem with who they put in the playoffs the last 2 years. It's that they have made it clear that no g5 schools will ever be considered. Which makes it nearly impossible for them to keep really good coaches for more than a year or 2. And try to build something lasting. I just hope they can either get in a p5 conference soon or they expand the playoffs to see if these schools can actually compete.

By the way, since the bcs began there have been 10 bcs/ny6 games that involved a p5 vs a g5. G5 are 7 and 3 in those games. UCF is 2 and 0.

In trying to force a balanced agreement he’s going to cost his program the very thing they claim they want, real shots at legit teams.

There’s no incentive for UF to do a straight home and home. It might not be fair, but it’s reality. Elite programs do home and homes with other elite programs, not UCF. They would lose money from a home game the year they play in Orlando. No reason to sacrifice that for the sake of the UCF football program.

They are afraid that if they let a G5 team in and they win a game or 2, all hell would be loose. P5 conferences would loose all their leverage and an opportunity for their conference to be represented in the playoff. The final 4 is really for the power 5, but the committee doesn't want to say it publically.

How do you "go get it". Those are just empty words. All you can do is try to do more with much much less. And nobody will ever out work Saban and his staff, so that is not an option, you literally can not just outwork them. You may match them effort wise at the staff level, but if kids...KIDS..keep just piling up there instead of choosing to actually compete for something, then you are not going to beat them consistently. I don't see how these kids can actually feel that great about winning at Bama...so what..you chose the easy way.

Exactly. It's not about losing a home games worth of money. It's about losing postseason leverage and money. Why aren't there any g5 commissioners or ads on the playoff committee? Because they don't want to give up the monopoly on the postseason money. If UCF can actually force any real change to the system it will be far more beneficial than "getting" to play in the swamp twice. So I'm all for it. What's the worst that happens? We still don't ever get considered for the playoffs. May as well try to force change now.

Butch is the worst coach in UT history...He absolutely nuked the program into oblivion, when he was done he left a radioactive wasteland. It will be a miracle if UT ever comes back now...period. Dont bring up anything you call "good" he did...it means nothing. His legacy is a once proud program left on the verge of permanent irrevocable irrelevance.

Not empty words, simply stating it’s earned rather than given. Difference in mentality I guess. I hate Bama more than any of us but I know their run will come to an end like every other dynasty.

How it any different than the way fooley left? Yes, fooley.
Butch's 1st year= no bowl app and vandy lost just like pruitt's 1st year... I think fooley is worse b/c we had no bowl wins, not that many drafted players, and graduation rate was worse under fooley. Both were bad, I just think butch the lesser of 2 evil.
