I hope DWA improves more in 2019. He should have been targeted a lot more this season.

Yeah, my DWA comparison is short-sighted and orange-tinted at best. DWA is built more like an OL who can run. Had some drops, but should improve with our gameplan and OL play. Honestly glad we have him another year.

I think they tried to turn him into to much of a blocker. You recruit a guy like that because he is big can block a little but can also out run LBs who aren’t accounting for him. He wasn’t utilized like that very often.

The

The "taunting" in question was far from egregious. And why should the referees be tasked with dispensing sportsmanship lessons to grown men?
Because they are selfish idiot morons that don't understand respect...and he was taunting the chasing Purdy extremely egregiously. It was a good call, and a stupid play by a idiot.

Couldn’t see taunting there. He held it out in front of him...which is stupid with all the miscues we’ve seen. But he didn’t point it an opposing player and didn’t jaw at them. Hemorrhoidal refs syndrome.
He was looking back and jawing at the chasing Purdy..that is why he was holding the ball out in front like that...like he was playing keep-a-way. Rewind and watch again.

Sitting out of bowl games is trash. Why not just take the whole damn year off and work with a personal coach?

I would not be surprised to see more and more of this (like Bosa this year). Maybe not the whole season, but once a team loses 3 games and is knocked out of contention, what’s the difference between a late-season game and a bowl game, from the perspective of a kid who is worried about protecting himself for the draft? To a kid who is thinking like that, what is the point in continuing to play once your championship hopes have been dashed?

If that starts happening with any real frequency, it really starts messing with conference standings, etc., though, as it would have been a lot different to, say, play Mizzou without Drew Lock this year.

Bowl games are bad enough due to them being meaningless in the playoff landscape and players choosing to sit out. Now you're taking away touchdowns for holding a ball out while crossing the goal line and kicking players out for an absolute nothing of a hit. Didn't lunge, dude wasn't defenseless, helmet pops off, but only because the back of the helmet slams into the defender's arm on the way down. Absolute trash.
