Quality Class & OC Situation

15 is bottom tier? We are ranked above 7 sec teams and above Florida who happens to have one of the best if not the best recruiting beds in the country. We have been scrutinized by the media,by our own fans, and Pruitt was left with a cess pool.Considering the above he has done pretty Damn good in my book.
We are bottom tier in the SEC at this point, yes!

I always liked Fulmer in his early years but at the end he failed because he hired a OC who did not fit w/the players he had. Recruiting fell off end of story! It worries me that he may be advising Pruitt on the hireFulmer & Tuberville-Unemployment line.jpg

For this class we re in the top half currently. Should remain there if we pull Wright and Crouch as expected.
We are currently, ON THE FIELD, in the bottom tier. I don't care what "paper" says, I care about on-the-field performance.

But, he has to suck and we have to be bad at recruiting, otherwise we can't enjoy being negative all the time anymore.

OCs are not overrated....

On a serious note, id love to get the opinions from those that agreed with Pruitt using lack of talent as an excuse for poor performance last season. This class is currently ranking close to or worst than 3 of the last four. 2018 being the exception. It also ranks in the bottom tier of the sec. So how them to we come to the conclusion that things will improve?
Are you kidding? There is some very good talent in this class today and should be more to come. Let alone I feel we have a staff that can make the signees even better; unlike the last few coaches and their crews.

Need a solid OC. Fulmer has to advise him here. The clawfence put a nail in his coffin. When Fulmer had Cutcliff we were always in the SEC championship conversation.
This, but CJP said they are overrated lol. Whether joking or not, that was a foolish thing to say. Especially at such a crucial time

What proof do we have that anything you mentioned is true... good coaches coach to the players strengths instead of make excuses that the players don’t matched their desired profile. Fact is we have/had similar star talent on the current squad as we’ve had the last 10 years and recruiting for this class is looking very much the same. We will be status quo until we find a coach who can schematically match up with others or until we get the type of classes Georgia and Bama are bringing in. We needed a hire like Leach who get 5 star play outta 2 star talent.
Sounds like we both have OPINIONS.

You do realize he coached Bama during the dead period last year, right? He actually couldn't recruit during that timeframe anyway.
It wasn't just the dead period and there is a lot more to recruiting than contact with recruits...especially for a first time coach.

Hmmm, so since the class isn't finished so there is that. Why is it so hard for you to except the lack of talent premise? Just use the eye test. Let's even go back to 2013. How many players have we had on either side of the ball that would start around the SEC?

But I see where this post is leading. Your usual it's all coaching 🙄

Do facts bother you? Want me to sugarcoat the situation to make you feel warm and cozy?

What are we talking about, recruiting or on field results? We are still talking about football aren't we? If not, trade out on court results for on field.

No sugarcoating, I WANT THE TRUTH!

Why do so many of us think this? I know that's what we've been told but is it accurate? Sure didn't work in year 1. Most of the talent that CJP has coached was outstanding to begin with. Saying he coached up Bama, FSU and UGA is kid of like the guy who is born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. I have not seen any evidence that this staff are talent developers.
