I’m wondering how successful Rocker is at recruiting. We’re struggling at his position. Sherrer also. Linebackers say they like him, but they’re not lining up to play for him. Not sure what’s going on there

I think thats a legit question to be asked. From what I remember Sherrer was a pretty good recruiter but it didn't show in this class so far. Of course we could add a DE or DL by Feb.

This class is what we thought it would be. Sure there were some flips we were hoping for, but overall pretty good. We just need to finish strong in February.

Filled a lot of needs, and hopefully gets better from here. People worry too much with stars. It's about getting the right people. I would give us a solid B so far with room to improve.

Anyway listen to Mauer interview on WNML today. Sounds like a leader. Competing for QB1 on Day 1. Anyway we look for a Grad transfer QB, given we only have 3on scholarship?

Don't know. I see both sides. Won't be surprised either way.

A lot probably depends on where shrout is in his development. RS Jr, RS fr, TR fr.... Just based on that alone you can say yes to a gt qb.

I don't think Mississippi State is gonna drop off that much. Pretty unfavorable even if they're losing Simmons and Sweat off their DL.

They lose a lot on defense. They lose 6 DL in the two deep including all starters (if Simmons leaves). If Leo Lewis leaves, that’s 1 LB. They lose 3 in the secondary. They lose 2 OL and Fitzgerald. I expect the offense to be ok.

Really enjoyed Pruitt's presser speaking on every player signed today. Straightforward and refreshing compared to a lot of the fluff that we've endured previously.

Also, just listened to the Maurer interview on WNML, and I like what I hear. Said he was committed to the head coach and not worried about the OC.

That said, hopefully we hire the right coach.

I like, don't love, our starting defense. Have reservations about the depth. Some of these names I'm just hesitant on because they were Butch guys and that stench just hasn't washed off yet. If my projection above holds true (which it likely won't) that'll be 5 Butch guys on 1st team, 6 Butch guys on 2nd team. Already starting to see that roster flip.

Whole team has a stench right now. Not just “Butch guys”.
