Thanks for rational thought and posting but you have not posted much and K. Brown wanted to be here and we slowed played him and he is an outstanding prospect and we did the same thing to Javonta. We did the same thing to Anderson and he then told us he was coming and then signed with USC because he wasn't slow played by them. I do know a few things that are true. You don't have to believe them nor AV either. I don't have his connections but know who he is and what he does and actually have some myself. Gotta hand it to the staff to go for the big wins but they didn't win any of those today and lost out on some guys they eventually wanted but didn't get.
That was Sabans first class. So we should be comparing 2008 Bama with 2019 PruittIf we land Wright/Crouch/Gray:
2019 Pruitt
2 5-stars9 4-stars13 3-stars268.46 points90.22 average2007 Saban
0 5-stars8 4-stars16 3-stars241.78 points87.81 average
The fact that we're coming off 2-14 in the SEC the last two years and doing as well as we are is impressive. Even Saban didn't recruit like Saban coming off of his first 7-6 year.
The 90.22 average would also be the highest for us since 2009, we've majorly beefed up our biggest position of need at OL, added some JUCO stopgaps for the DL, and have gotten a solid player at every position on the field. Use this to solidify our place above Kentucky/Vandy/USCe/Mizzou and work from there.

So how many spots we got left? I'm thinking they already knew the odds of getting who they were swinging for, but put in a lot of work anyway. Now they know for sure who they don't have and can go all out again for the rest of the class. It's a gamble, but I'm glad they're trying. It's a hard sell to come in this year. I think it is going to take 3 more classes to get us where we are where we expect to be, but I remember when Majors was building so I've been around a long, long time. Thanks for rational thought and posting but you have not posted much and K. Saban joined Alabama in January of 2007, so thats his first half class. His 2008 class was #3 in the nation. I'm' not all doom and gloom on these guys but lets not set the bar at Saban. That class was 3 5 starts and like 20 4 stars.
I think they are doing an outstanding job considering where we are as a program. It did not fall overnight and wont be fixed overnight either.Considering the state of our program right now and for the last decade, what CJP is doing with recruiting is a small miracle. This class is going to end up way better than what should be realistically expected. Some of yall have lost your minds.
When dealing with HS seniors I feel like if they wanted to be here then they would sign, regardless of how much they were or were not recruited. The staff is only so large and they're chasing recruits all over the country, because unfortunately as Anderson proved a kid's word isn't worth much. If they don't sign then you gotta stay on the road chasing other options.
Posting frequency doesn't equate to credibility either, keep that in mind. We're all just sharing opinions and thoughts.

I want to thank you guys for completely breaking me from wanting to read VN for the rest of the day. I can actually go be productive.
This was a good day and a decent class and hand wringing won't do chit. If we don't start beating lower tier teams WITH LESS TALENT by just playing good football expect it all to get a lot worse.
Today has nothing to do with Raptors or hostesses, AV, or bagmen. It has to do with winning. We haven't done **** all in that category in a long damn time.
