Report: Top two candidates for OC are Lindsay and Eli Drinkwitz (Football Scoop)

So we shouldn’t want Pruitt/Saban or Kirby because Lindsey beat them all last year?? 🙄🙄This kind of logic effing kills me.
For what it is worth, Auburn had significantly more talent than UT and still only ranked 95th in total offense this year. Not much better than UT, but hey this sounds like the kind of offensive production we need.

Yes, they lost four starters off their 2017 offensive line.

Without blocking, the QB gets nervous; then you enter a death spiral.

He coached with Pruitt at Hoover alabama.and was coach of the year right after at the same place,Marietta,GA,that this new qb that just commited,is from.

Chip Lindsey
George "Chip" Lindsey (born c. 1974 in Madison, Madison County) is the head football coach for the Spain Park High School Jaguars.
Lindsey graduated from Madison's Bob Jones High School in 1992 and lettered in football at the University of North Alabama the next fall. He transferred and completed his bachelor of arts in history and English at the University of Alabama in 1997. He went on to complete a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Phoenix.
Lindsey has coached at Deshler High School in Tuscumbia, Florence High School in Florence, Sparkman High School in Harvest (Madison County) and Springville High School in Springville. His first head coaching job came in 2005 for Colbert County's Colbert Heights High School.
In 2007 he was the offensive coordinator for Rush Propst's last season at Hoover High School, then was hired by Chris Shaw as the head coach and athletic director Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia. In his two years there he and quarterback Hutson Mason led the Trojans to 9-3 and 12-1 records. He was named the Cobb County Coach of the Year by the Marietta Daily Journal and the Cobb County Touchdown Club both years.
Lindsey returned to Alabama after two years to be the quarterbacks coach for Troy University, and followed Shaw to Spain Park in December 2010.
Lindsey and his wife, the former Cecily Pharr of Sheffield, have four children: Claire, Cooper, Caroline and Conner.

Our O-line sucked hard and people were calling for Ty Helton's head. You are implying it isn't Lindsey offense but O-Line play, so how will that help our situation given our O-line sucks balls? Can't have it both ways, man. If he couldn't game plan around Auburn O-line issues given that they have more talent, what makes you think he can get our O-line going? I just don't think Lindsey is our guy. I personally take stats with a grain a salt but found this interesting. TN ranks close to dead last in every field, Even though Auburn has the 95th ranked total offense, the stats imply that it is not all of because of Auburn's o-line play so that could imply game prep, planning and play calling, all of which is on the offensive coordinator's shoulders.

I don't want Lindsey. I have never wanted Lindsey. Come on man.

You KNOW this guy routinely wears an "I Grok for Spock" t-shirt. Goal for 2019 is the same one he had for 1999, "Kiss a live girl."
