This doesn’t make sense. He has one more year to play and put tape out there to try and make his dream come true for his himself and take care of his family financially. You would rather him stay at Houston and not play?

What lesson do you believe this would teach him that outweighs any of those things I said above?

I believe there are lessons learned through decisions that have failure as an outcome

I am sorry but he's already used his one Mulligan and life doesn't allow unlimited doovers

lol...you’re overreacting.

I know, and I don't fault QD for taking advantage of the rules on the books. I just don't like the grad transfer rule and some of the other proposed transfer rule changes that may be coming down the pipe.

And I seriously can imagine some sports pundits starting the unlimited eligibility drumbeat in the near future.

So dumb
He’s completely playing by the rules, what one mulligan?

I hope your kid gets better advice than these Bruinisms

The bs rule i was speaking about is allowing him to transfer twice without sitting out

That's wrong as Athletics is only teaching us that there is no finality in any choice. Just take your ball and transfer multiple times
How many times are coaches allowed to jump from school to school without sitting out?

Don't disagree but my point is he's not worth holding your search hostage for. He may be great but to me there are many more, qualified candidates.

Fair enough, but again, I don’t think we’ve missed out on anyone by waiting for Enos if that’s what we were doing. From all the tea leaves and rumors Freeze and Briles were never really options (due to either Pruitt, Fulmer, or the UT Admin not wanting them), and Yurcich is still there available. Again, this is all speculation because no one knows anything.

Is there someone else you think we missed on by waiting for Enos?

With Early signing day around the corner I just wanted to remind folks who enjoy following recruiting that anything can happen leading up to signing day. Don't be shocked to see new names on the board or possible flips stay the course and sign with their original team (Pappoe). Recruiting is crazy and this is the silly season. So be prepared for the highs and lows. I think Pruitt & Co. will sign a solid class with players of need. Go Vols!

Meet the Bag Man

He is following the ******* rules Bruin. These “mulligans” are your complete creation. You get 5 to play 4. I guess you’d rather see him handing Gatorade out than getting a shot to take care of his family.

Yes I don't have a problem with the first transfer. More power to him for graduating and using the system

It's moving again that is bs to me

If you were able to manipulate even a sixth season with this loophole, I’d consider your point. But we’re deluding ourselves if we over-romanticize what these kids are doing with their football eligibility. They’re taking a stab at a unique opportunity at the next level. Catch on with a practice squad and you’re making more than the best medical and legal field graduates pull down right out of school. These transfers are graduating college in three years...furtherest thing from manipulation. An engineering student does that and gets courted by the next school he/she wants to attend. Lot of outcry for nonexistent offense.

I hope you’ve followed this same advice and have only had two jobs in your entire life. Otherwise you are setting a bad example to your kids and that’s BS.

Okay catching up. Butch isn't associate head coach at Maryland, or co-offensive coordinator at Bama, he's a tight end coach at Maryland.
I read he is an associate HC, has that changed? If not I bet he did it to justify getting paid less to in turn justify getting the nod.
