I would usually say that the smoke screen stuff is silly during a coaching search, but hiring Yurcich makes zero sense and seems like an awful fit for Pruitt. I’m not saying Yurcich would be a bad OC, but this just doesn’t add up.

I think the better way to think about this is: "who is doing well on the trail after a disappointing season?". Here's where I think that shakes out. These are listed in order of 2019 class rank.

We should root for FSU to recover so they can keep the recruiting pressure on UF in Florida. The last thing we need is for FSU to fall off for a while and allow UF to become a dominant force again for Florida recruiting.

Great respect for you AV, but the fact is Richt NEVER recruited at this level. Smart is reeling in Top Two classes and appears to be set to do so for a while. His only real competition is Saban and Alabama.

Whatever the reason(s), some of which you have outlined, it isn't nonsense. They are sucking the air out of the room in the southeast.

Its not ESD today and it sure as hell isn't feb signing period yet either...and the ink ain't dry till its dry son.

I have to say in all honesty, I thought Pruitt and his staff would recruit better than this. We are missing on our priority targets for ESD. Maybe things will shift in February for us, but nothing that’s happening right now is any indication of that.

Missouri and Vanderbilt game probably hurt us. But even after that there were lots of "insiders" saying we had a number of highly rated recruits that were basically locks.

Something must have happened within the last 2 weeks...
