Meanwhile Gus has zeroed in on his OC, the RB coach at South Carolina lol. That ship is sinking faster than the Titanic. Good luck over there Pappoe

Bentley's dad?

This reminds me of butch's last year here. He could not get a seasoned oc and resorted to someone he could control and still run his offense...

I don't blame them, but I hate it. Ruins CFB bowl games a little bit.
With Grier and the other first rounders skipping their bowl games, these bowl sponsors may cut back on their investment. I know that they're way too many bowl games but something has to be done about stars opting out of the game. I wonder what Grier's OL skill position players think about him not playing? They busted their butts all year for him and he repays them by skipping the game. Not a good look.

Bobby Bentley is actually a really good coach. He built Byrnes a public HS here in Greenville, SC in to a national power from nothing. That being said OC pays a lot more than RB coach and money talks. This is probably Gus swan song but I don't blame Bentley one bit for taking a 1 year stint to make 4 years worth of salary.

Since he's at least been mentioned, here's a profile.

Andy Ludwig:

Tempo
2013 Wisconsin - 28.71 (113)
2014 Wisconsin - 28.76 (120)
2015 Vanderbilt - 25.08 (69)
2016 Vanderbilt - 27.78 (107)
2017 Vanderbilt - 28.27 (105)
2018 Vanderbilt - 28.92 (117)

Talent (247 composite rank) / Offensive Efficiency (SOS-adjusted rank)
2013 Wisconsin - 37 / 21
2014 Wisconsin - 37 / 13
2015 Vanderbilt - 44 / 106
2016 Vanderbilt - 41 / 70
2017 Vanderbilt - 45 / 50
2018 Vanderbilt - 45 / 36

Wouldn't be an exciting hire, and I think Enos/Briles/Yurcich are far better options, but Vandy was an absolute mess offensively when he got there and now he has them outperforming the talent they have there.

Would all these numbers be skewed if you are looking at guys like Ludwig and Enos that have historically run ball control offenses?

Those same FSU guys also reported that Pruitt reached out to Yurich and that they are the ones who said that Yurich told coach he isn’t leaving except for a head job. So he is out.

Not sure how FSU guys have more insight into our coaching search than Hubbs and crew

They know Pruitt, Sunseri, Kelly and Nate Andrews so not out of question they would be able to get info

Hmm, maybe something like what high schools, lower college division, pro sports team do.
I’m just spitballing here, but what if D1 football did........ A playoff.......

Is it possible that interviewing Lebby is UT doing its due diligence before extending a formal offer to Briles, and that Briles’s scheduled interview for Sunday is just Incase we don’t extend the formal offer today?

For tempo, yes. For the offensive rankings, no. Those are based on efficiency, not total yardage.

If its Chaney, I dont know why it couldnt go on and be announced now. UGA isnt playing for anything, and besides that, coordinators have been announced for other jobs even on playoff teams in years past.
Well, I disagree that "they aren't playing for anything". After the last 10 years, I'd give my left one to be #5 with a sugar bowl win.

That's what I was thinking. If more players skip out, wonder of would intice more urgency for an 8+ team playoff?
