I think coaching is similar to capitalism. The coaching market dictates what you are and if he did not succeed in being a co-op and then a midseason elevation, I think he needs to work himself back up. I think this could be a perfect opportunity for both of them and then when a few HC jobs such as a sun belt or conference USA job become available he looks like a premium candidate.I believe Tee has an elevated opinion of his current skill set. He sees himself at the very least, a Power 5 OC or a head coach. He’s not taking a step backwards unless forced from lack of job opportunities
What’s odd is that I am not even sure Friend is the proper coach for the Briles system and frankly his unit was the worst on our team. Why would Pruitt want a mismatch?
Don’t blame Briles for wanting his own OL coach. His system depends on the proper coaching. Pruitt can’t have it both ways
Agree, if he continues to run up the middle twice then short pass or deep 50/50 ball for 2 more yrs he shouldn’t see yr 4. It’s gonna take 4-5yrs of recruitment to be at Bama UGA talent level and unless he miraculously lands the top spot this yr in front of those he’s already behind going into yr 2I’m starting to believe this hire will tell us if Pruitt is gonna be the guy. If he goes safe, I’m afraid it’s going to negatively impact his rebuilding
It is Jeff Lebby, and he worked with Briles at Baylor. If he was interviewed it wasn't for OC. More than likely a replacement for Weinke. Here it is guys, the kick in the nuts hire. Bank on it:
Mike Lebby, the QB coach at UCF per Hubbs is another candidate coach interviewed yesterday
