Worth taking a chance imo. He needs someone that can help us catch-up. What I really like is it appears Pruitt is taking into account what offenses gave him the most trouble this yr. I won't include Bama because it's Bama. But Mizzu and South Carolina 2nd half. Both go tempo and both had a spread you out but can run downhill approach. That's a really good sign that Pruitt isn't Butch if he is willing to adjust his system/thinking

I have posted I think it's the fastest way to get this progra back to 7-9 wins. Unfortunately I think that's the ceiling but maybe that's best for us now

Was just looking at other coaches that run a variation of the Briles system and didn’t realize that Dino Babers runs a variation of it or at least uses some principles from it from when he was at Baylor coaching WRs. His supposedly is leaned more towards Air-raid mixed with Briles principles.

I know some of have wondered about whether or not it can work in the SEC and they should read these articles. Talks about how Briles especially loved massive OL and wanted a downhill physical run game to complement the spread passing attack so teams that who would try and line up 3-3-5 or had a strong front 4 and wanted to leave the leave the box bare to protect the pass would get run down and abused in the trenches. This eliminates teams from moving a DE and LBs towards the hashes to be able to help on the edge of the field. Kendall puts a much bigger emphasis, like his father did, in downhill running that is needed in the SE

I really think this can be an offense that not only survives but thrives in the SEC. Hopefully someone that knows more about Xs and Os can expand on this.

What will 2018 hold for the Veer and Shoot?

The Dino Babers offense

quote from first link
Their mastery of RPOs was at a very high level while they had worked out how to use their wide splits to not only make their run game a nightmare but also to create predictable coverage responses from defenses which would allow the offense to work the vertical, iso routes that really made this offense lethal.

This all day long.

Pruitt's made a career of scheming against SEC offenses. We can argue all day long about what works in the SEC, but I'll bet Pruitt knows which styles present the most issues for defense like UGA/LSU/Bama, etc.

I dig that avatar.

I mentioned in my original post that he made an inappropriate comment. How about you learn to read before you accuse others of not reading

So, nothing but unfounded hearsay against Schiano and actual proof against Kendal, yet you declare the Schiano situation much worse?

As I said, I'm not a Schiano fan, but I'm against tearing down a guy's reputation simply because you don't like him. FTR, though I think Kendal was wrong to use sex as a recruiting tool, I don't see it as something that should keep him out of coaching.

The game has passed you by, like someone that bets the under. Lettuce, you stand out da way.

Uh... Schiano was named under oath as being a guy who witnessed CHILD RAPE. Briles told some recruits that white girls like football players. Yeah... That's the same thing.

And again, that was just added onto Schiano. We weren't the ones painting the rock and smearing him over twitter. That was added onto his suckiness making him unhireable. I'm not sure what you're trying to argue for here.

I am a fan of Shiano but what has Briles been proven to have done?

Face of your program and highest paid person in state vs assistant that will barely get to talk to media.... that's a big difference. Schiano as D.C. Wouldn't have gotten near that backlash imo.

Telling a football player that white women love football players isn't exactly news to anyone. They do... he didn't say they can rape them

First, I'm not coming out against Briles, but he did use sex as a recruiting tool. Not a good thing in the current environment. Need to be smarter than that.

Second, if you guys cannot see the similarities between the cases, you're willfully blinding yourself to the truth.
