Some updates from other sites. 247 Auburn expects their focus will turn to Bobby Bentley. FSU 247 says they will turn focus to Briles and that Taggart and Briles spoke last night but Taggart is out of pocket all wknd.

If Pruitt wants Briles he needs to lock it up today.
This worries me a little about FSU. I personally don't think Taggart is a good coach, at least not as good as he has been portrayed in the past. I am glad we didn't go after him.
With that said, I hope Kendall Briles thinks working for Pruitt is a better opportunity and picks UT over FSU if it gets that far.
He could always just decide to stay at Houston.

I think Taggart just copies whatever Pruitt does. He doesn’t seem like he knows what he’s doing.

In reference to a previous post of mine: All I was saying is that the media is going to hammer Liberty for the hire. I'm not saying it's justified. I do believe that people deserve second chances if they've admitted and suffered for their sins. I also agree with UTProf that anyone claiming Liberty has any religious integrity is a joke after hiring Baylor's AD right after the rape scandal broke. Like another poster mentioned, Liberty is a very suspect academic institution. To me, it mirrors the for-profit academic institutions that have been preying on people for years; they just put a faux-Christian sheen to differentiate it.

Just spitballing here...

When the media questions UT on the apparent "hypocrisy" between not hiring Schiano yet hiring KB, wouldn't Pruitt, Fulmer or even the current UT President simply respond, "guys, I don't know what to tell you. We weren't around then and we had zero part in the decision-making process at that time."

In researching Briles there are of course a ton of articles questioning the decision and discussing his past, but this will literally make his third stop since. Almost all of those same articles go on to mention his prolific offenses.

He'll get his judgement later but for now he needs to live his life and if that is coaching here then awesome.
