Fulmer knows their AD. They probably worked something out. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see WKU coming to Knoxville to play not only football but other sports as well without us paying a huge premium in a few years when schedules are getting finalized

While their real target has been Kendal Briles. Compared to Freeze no one will question or oppose them hiring Briles. All the while everyone else has left Briles alone because his new contract was announced.

Why does everyone think Freeze's sh*t is grosser than Briles?

If Weinke and Terry Fair leave for other positions, like has been alluded to on this board, then that would open up 2 coaching spots.

Briles coaches is OC and coaches QB's. Clement coaches RBs and works with Friend and the OL

Charles Kelley becomes the sole secondary coach with Pruitt assisting as needed.

Is that possible?

Just speculation, but a Briles hire would indicate to me that Pruitt is realizing his roster (specifically the defense, and even more specifically the defensive line/front 7) are no where near good enough to be dependable over the next 2-3 seasons, and that in order to win games in the short term, he is going to have to outscore teams. That would mean a strategic shift from his preferred ball control style to a more wide open style.

Lot of that but people tend to forget what Briles and his dad ran at Baylor...they RAN. That last season with Stidham after he and two other quarterbacks went down they pummeled a Gene Chizik coordinated UNC defense for 645 rushing yards with a cobbled together shift. Ultimate in multiple offense.
