the only thing i would say on the thought of a pittman/chaney hire (and i think the chances of htat happening are slim to none) is that if you're trying to make room on the staff, that may take care of itself depending on whether or not Helton gets anyone else off the staff or if Locksley were able to hire someone off the staff.I don't think Pruitt hires Pittman because he really likes Friend as his OL coach. I am not sure if they could do something like make one of them OG coach and the other OT coach, but I doubt either would accept being Co-OL coach.
swain was just talking about this, with the potential of Weinke moving on to MD with Locksley. obviously nothing concrete there, just as a possiblity, it exists.the only thing i would say on the thought of a pittman/chaney hire (and i think the chances of htat happening are slim to none) is that if you're trying to make room on the staff, that may take care of itself depending on whether or not Helton gets anyone else off the staff or if Locksley were able to hire someone off the staff.
like i said, i don't think we get cheney AND pittman in this deal, but there's paths out there that could lead to it happening. it's not impossible. just very unlikely.
yeah.Weird how many are saying Brice’s list is just him guessing (which I agree with), but then pages of posts dissecting his list! Leaning a lot on what Matthews said, I tend to think Pruitt has his man but he’s not available yet. So instead, CJP is focused on recruiting, which is consistent with the earlier posts citing some decent coaches we’ve had in the past that were limited by quality of our roster.
Meh it's a list of names to discuss. Who would Pruitt be targeting that couldn't be discussed? This is not a HC vacancy where the guy would need anonymity. The only possibilities for that would be guys waiting final decisions like Enos, or high profile guys like Chaney that would need to carefully weigh options. That to me is the more logical reason for quiet.Weird how many are saying Brice’s list is just him guessing (which I agree with), but then pages of posts dissecting his list! Hurts is a good remedy for our o line and he has improved as a QB. I would 100% take him and our future QBs can fit into the revamped OL when it isnt swiss cheese.I don't want Hurts but I'd give him a B if it wasn't for him fitting the style Pruitt presumably wants.
For being such a good fit I bump it up a letter grade
