I know it's not a popular opinion around here, but I'm not the biggest fan of Fulmer being the AD. Just because a guy can coach, doesn't mean he can run an athletic department. My opinion hasn't really been affected by the possibility that Fulmer blocked Freeze. I'd like to think that it's possible to have a career AD brought in that isn't a stooge to the BOT, but maybe, that's not realistic.

I don't disagree with anyone here saying things like "Fulmer loves the program." I'm just of the position that someone's passion for a job or task can still come up short if the skills and experience aren't there. I also worry about Fulmer's ability to help the other sports, especially since basketball may become our more successful program if Pruitt can't stick the landing. No proof yet that Fulmer's made any huge mistakes (though I would have fired Holly and made a splash hire to put us right back up there with UCONN), but I've always felt uncomfortable with the hire.

You’re crazy! He’s a million times better than what he have had the past 3 times. If we would have given it to Blackburn, then I think that would have been better off, because he wants what’s best for TN and is more qualified. But some of the power players didn’t want Blackburn.

Maybe this has been brought up previously, but if Pruitt told Harrison Bailey that he's hiring a phenomenal OC, wouldn't he have said that knowing that Freeze would've been okay with everyone from Fulmer to the Administration?

I've had to do the same at youth camp, and back in my wild days I screwed a bunch of strippers, so I guess that makes me a pedohile? Keep in mind NFL vs college. Things that you can do or not do may be different and typically are. Spurrier offense sucked in NFL but tore up college. Mullen/Meyer offfense would suck in NFL but not in college. At the end of day you can sell Sark #s and experience all the way back to USC.

He followed the one of best OC I have ever seen in Shanahan and scheming people open. That is a tough act to follow.

Absolutely true! Case in point, years ago some stadium upgrades got leaked here and everybody that had seen the plans got grilled about it.

Apparently Pruitt pushed all his chips in on Freeze and now has to start over and hit up wikipedia to see who all the other OCs are in college and pro ball, hope to have this wrapped up befire our first game next year.

Harrison Bailey was going to commit to Tennessee long before Helton left. Those things aren’t spur of the moment decisions

If the BOT really did block Hugh, I can't see them being okay with Propst and his past either IMO.

Remember Pruitt is used to working for administrations, that have everyone rowing in the same direction and want to win. When a HC wants something, he gets it. Pruitt has gotten that so far up until this point. He probably thought he would be able to get Freeze, too, except he’s now getting a taste of the battle he will be up against sometimes, especially when it comes to hiring coaches.

I am not done. I never said he was a pedophile. I only said you cannot dismiss the story because your experience was different. I think an accusation like this needs to be investigated. We have all done things that we are not proud of and you have been very forthcoming about your own past, I think, because you hope someone takes it to heart and maybe avoids some of the tribulations that you had. I admire that. In this case, however, you have completely dismissed the possibility that it happened and I still have not read where one person has accused him of being a pedophile.

If you accuse him of watching 8th grade girls change clothes...you are accusing him of being a pedophile.
