Would Freeze be a bigger hire than Pruitt?

A Freeze hire will be great for Pruitt and the program. Will show he has a lot of confidence in his own ability and that he has no fear of being overshadowed!

and yes, Freeze is a bigger hire now than Pruitt was then for Tennessee!

any of the 14 SEC schools can throw money at an unproven/less experienced OC and get him on board, but only a couple can attract Freeze, and we are one of them!!!!!!

Wait a minute.......Pruitt was a Big Hire? Lets be logical, Freeze wined, dined and sexed-up recruits and got fired for it, he has made more national headlines than Pruitt......so he would be a bigger hire......imagine if he is here 2 more years and Pruitt leaves or gets fired and Freeze gets the HC job.......that would be the most Tennessee thing to happen since Kiffin wrecked a loaner with co-eds and Pearl lied about a BBQ.......

Personally, I have a ton of faith in Pruitt. He has a wet paper sack for a line, and that defense showed sparks. Problem is, they are young and they were on the field ALOT this season. We have got to find some offense and let the defense develop. Pruitt has a history of year 2 improvements on defense.

In a sense it would be in that Freeze is a coach most Vol fans would be excited to have on staff and also one of if not the first choice and ask. Pruiit on the other hand only excited those they feel one must be excited about any coach or recruit and assume they are world beaters because they chose to wear Orange.

Of course after a couple of down seasons they that they once lived so are free game to make fun of. But that's another thread I guess.

just as long as Coach Pruitt is the head coach and everyone on the staff does what he says, no problem...anyway, Freeze will never be the head coach here...uh, oh, I've done it now...:D

It's a bigger splash 'cause we have a "D" guru at HC and the big pic looks great...kinda. Should never have a situation when CJP has to look over his shoulder so I imagine that would be address on the front end

No it’s not a problem to hire a successful SEC XHC as an OC when it comes to who was the bigger hire.

The only problem would be negative recruiting due to the reason he is no longer the HC at Ole Miss.

There is a difference in controlling the media perception during a culture change, and being afraid to work with the best. If any of the stories out of Georgia have validity, it's easy to see he its afraid to speak up even to guys with way more experience if he thinks it will help win. He doesnt cower, he surrounds himself with big strong minds, there isnt a single person on his current staff that anyone would claim is a pushover or a yes man, what makes you think that will change with this one hire?

I remember a few years ago, most on VN thought Brady Hoke and Shoop were both the best thing coming since sliced bread!

If we don't get Freeze, we will get a good OC. Have some faith in your HC.
