Would Freeze be a bigger hire than Pruitt?

Honest questions here:

Would you rather hire a good OC that might lend some consistency to program or CHF ?

Does it stunt the offense to have a revolving door at OC>

I live in Illinois and it is FREEZING here....that is as close to a Freeze as we will get

Maybe so. Another big reason for Pruitt not to "wow" anyone with the OC hire.

Good leaders surround themselves with people who are as smart or smarter than themselves. See Dabo, he definitely delegates much better now than his first couple years.

NO! He is going to be one and done. Unless we make him look like every other coordinator we hire.
IF he gets hired he won't be one and done...He would have to work an absolute miracle to make our offense even middle SEC level...Maybe 2 or 3 years and we'll see what happens.

Yes and he will be more accomplished and proven than the guy he is working for. Interesting situation.

The combo of Pruitt and Freeze has more upside than down:

-If they do well and Freeze is hired away great - we are doing well and we'll find another OC
-if they do well and Pruitt is hired away great - we'll promote Freeze to HC
-if they stink - we'll be back to square one - but at least we went for it by hiring Freeze

And if so, do you consider that a problem?

From the instant I heard Freeze's name come up I thought he'd be a better coach than his potential future boss; just have to accept the warts that come with handling frogs... inevitable that there may be a little friction when you hire a former hc who just might be better than the current hc.

Damn, you people are about as excited about hiring Freeze as Ole Miss folks were about firing him.

Definitely a bigger hire. 90% of the country has NO CLUE who Beldar is. Hell... half this fanbase had no clue who he was until he stepped to the podium. Aight?
