I can't say that I know for sure one way or the other because I am surprised by literally nothing anymore in the f'd up world of college sports. But I am not expecting him to be hired here.

No doubt. I ride with the VQ guys.

But what I mean is, this hire won’t be universally liked by the fan base, the athletic department, the university or the board. And when I say DeerPark, and LA Vol have upper level contacts, it’s likely that those contacts are amongst those who don’t approve of hiring Freeze.

Of course, none of that really matters. What you, I or Jimmy Joe down the road think doesn’t matter. If Pruitt and Fulmer are comfortable they will make the hire.

@utvolpj thanks I was gonna quote it but I had trouble finding it again, but he did say never gonna happen which is what I was laughing at cuz it's all just crazy speculation right now and so much differing info that I think Pruitt and Fulmer got a bunch of people chasing their tails

i think most probably get that. the fringe fan sees Huge Freeze, recognizess the name, and immediately equates it to "great hire".

the reality is (and i'm not gonna lie, i'd be pretty fired up if we hired Freeze too), Enos or Lindsay would be a very good hire as well.

people just don't know who they are really, or enough about what they might bring to the table. i saw a post yesterday that said "dan enos has potential".

lol. dude's been an oc/position coach for almost 30 years. and a really good one. LIndsay was as hot a name as there was, and has a similar career path as Pruitt. oh, and Auburn's offense didn't suck in 2017.

the sad reality is there's just a lot of ignorance out there, they have a medium to express whatever thought runs their brain for all to see, and let's face it..............that "group" has the numbers. always has, always will. it's the same group of people that told you Bob shoop was an awful coach.

i'm a fan too. i'm as guilty as anyone else that has knee jerk reactions. and lastly, it's not like our fine program hasn't botched hires like this in the past, so there's an element of "shame on you, shame on me" at play here as well....Freeze feels more like a sure thing, than any one else on the list, we don't make hires like that (typically), so anything less, is just more of the same.

anywho. i wishs they'd get it over with as well. but that's a "me" problem. all i really care about is that hey hire the right guy.

Cant wait for tomorrow boys. I'll be in arraignment for a moving violation. Got in the left lane too early (despite the entire town doing it daily) and a bored cop got me passing over the gore (painted area). Had a clean record before this so I'm marching my petty ass into the court. Wish me luck and if any of you have experience representing yourself in traffic court, I'd appreciate any piece of advice.

Because it’s the ncaa and if that’s the case then UT could have all kinds of donors, former players, etc actively recruiting for them as couldeveryone else
