Volswire-Board Won’t Hire Freeze

So the board is mad cause they had approved the Back door hiring of schiano and was **** down by volnation, not just this forum but all vol fans. So now they want to use freezes past as an excuse to screw the fans over for screwing over their decision to hire a garbage coach.
If I had to guess it’s the Haslams putting their nose in it because they are still pissed about not getting schiano.

Maybe because he grew up in Knoxville, attended and graduated from UTK, is a very successful businessman/entrepreneur, is deeply interested in public higher education, loves the University of Tennessee, wants what's best for it and has good sense to run it. Much like the interim chancellor of UTK.

Course, we could have just brought in somebody who wants to collect a nice mid six-figure paycheck for a couple of years.

I think it demonstrates the frustration with, and distrust of, the UT Administration for the last 10+ years.
Folks have seen incompetence in the AD and Aministration before, so it was easy to believe now.

This about the OC hire is not the point.

That's my opinion, and an effort to answer your question.

And a poor effort at that. There are mature adults, who genuinely love UT, in charge now across the board.

I'm just gonna leave this here for now. The current BOT is not the same one that was in power during the Shiano fiasco. That 27 member board was replaced by a 12 member board in the summer, I believe.
And Boyd is a good business man, running the UT system is a business, and he is an album, which is an improvement over the last 5 or so. Just relax and enjoy the beauty of a coaching search. It could be worse, Mike Hamilton or John Currie could be running it with Booger Cheek.

That's because people would rather keep up with clickbait than real news. Amazing to me how oblivious people are. I'd be willing to wager that about 98 percent of the people on this board couldn't name 5 of the 9 members of the U.S. Supreme Court without checking the googles, much less know what year the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

I knew there was some restructure, but I was unaware as to how favorable it was.
I'm just used to ... what we were all used to I suppose.

I hate to bring this up, but do we not welcome with open arms 2 former Vol and NFL stars who have been convicted of vehicular manslaughter? Do we not welcome back one of our best running backs ever after he has been convicted for felony cocaine trafficking? Didn’t Pac-Man come and speak to the team? Where the hell is the administration about that? How was what Freeze done worse than those things?

Hugh Freeze is a flawed man in his private life. That’s between he and his family. Hopefully he has gotten those issues straight, but ordering some hookers shouldn’t mean you don’t get another chance. I think a helluva lot more of Freeze than I do Petrino or Rick Petino. The bar is not set high there, but I think he’s a better person than those guys.

Okay, so first we pass in Mike Leach and now they might pass on Freeze as OC yet we hired Dooley and Butch?????? Ehat is wrong with BOT. Do theyh even care about winning?
