There is a big drop off from Freeze to Lindsey

Nope. Just not sure how shutting down the program over an OC benefits the program. Enlighten me. How will it impact recruiting? Is there only one OC available? Is there only 1 bright offensive mind available? I'm all ears.

No one legitimately wants to shut down the program. Freeze is established. He is a successful known commodity. He knows what he is doing. His name has pop with recruits. He is the obvious choice for the quickest turnaround by most informed people with their hand on the pulse of Tennessee football. He has baggage yes but he is the obvious answer.

Honestly nobody knows that until he gets full control to run his own offense. Freeze is the more proven offensive guru but still only 1 time did his offense finish higher than #41 in scoring offense in the nation. Freeze is my first choice but Lindsey would be a really good #2 option.

I hear ya. I'd obviously be happy with Freeze, but I think there are other solid options out there. I'll be disappointed if we hire another unproven guy. I want someone that has actually proven their worth as an offensive mind and not just been associated with a good coach. We'll see.

Sherrer is the DC but Pruitt runs the defense.

And? Even if it were to drop another 10k, do you honestly think that makes a difference? No. It would have to drop to like 40-50k on average for a season to illicit real change. Thats not gonna happen.
