I would expect that until the Vols are eliminated from bowl contention it will be JG with KC as backup

somewhat mute IMHO since it will probably be @ the end of Vandy game before We know about our bowl chances !
There is pressure on Pruitt to deliver a bowl game if from no one other than his wife for shopping purposes. Whoever needs to be in there to win the game is who will be in there.....money talks !

I think the dissatisfaction with _
JG, comes from people's preferences.
If a person likes a pocket passer, then he is likely not going to satisfied with Mike Vick as UT QB.
If you like a scrambling QB then you don't want Phillip Rivers as your QB
Don't think the JG dislike comes from him being from Jersey or from him not being Caucasian etc.

What’s funny in this back and forth is that I’ve always advocated for your guy (JG) to get a fair chance and not be saddled with preconceptions or snap judgements. But you’re as inflexible and pig headed as much as any Chryst disciple when addressing Shrout and Maurer. Pruitt will recruit the best available every year and throw them into the mix...and pick the best. Confident that’s what he’s done with JG and that’s the evenhanded approach that gives Shrout and Maurer just as good of a shot as your mythical QB.

I guess we don't have to go to plan C. Lol The mythical QB is committed. You NegaVols are rarely correct! They'll get a shot but neither will get many starts unless injuries occur to JG or the mythical new QB, and yes some QBs are recruited for depth purposes.

Heard the other day that Pruitt was less than thrilled with both Chryst and Shrout and that was one of the beefs he had with Helton (CJP apparently took Helton's word on both of them). Shrout is obviously the last of these that are still at the program. It will be interesting to see if Shrout ever gets much playing time with JG's last year ahead and the arrival of Mauer and then Bailey.

Helton was key in landing Maurer. Guess we gotta drum him out too, huh?
