What? I thought some of y'all were saying that the SEC office told Tennessee "no" to hiring Freeze? Yet they would just let Auburn roll with him no problem? There are a lot of thirsty folks in this thread. (Not singling you out PVF, just I find the whole argument silly).

Yep. Exactly. So why would we even allow the SEC office to dictate our OC hire to us?? They wouldn’t dare to be so bold as to suggest such a thing to Bama. I don’t think we end up hiring him, but it should be our decision either way.

You may be correct. I really do not know. I know that he wants to get back to coaching. He has ties to the state. He used to coach football at Lambuth university in Jackson TN. It was always fascinating to me he somehow found a way to beat team that were clearly more talented than his teams... He did it regularly. I may be setting myself up for another disappointment but hell I have I have been nothing but that for the last decade.... So till I hear different go FREEZE!

Not arguing circumstances; I was replying to someone saying the SEC would never tell Alabama they couldn't hire someone, and that's exactly what they did from all reports.
