Enos to UT would be awesome. Chances of getting younger Tua goes WAY UP and we likely get Hurts or another good grad transfer QB who would want to be coached by Enos. Likely helps with bigtime WR's like Hazelwood as well.
all sounds good, but if Locksley goes, isn't Enos really next in line to get the OC at Bama?

lot's of dominos here.

the more that fall, not sure how many wind up falling our way. i think if Enos is our guy, and that's who Pruitt wants, you go make the hire, let him finish coaching at Bama, but at least have the ability to tell recruits it's a done deal....even if it's not made public....

either way, i'm starting to get the feeling that this probably won't be "done" until January.....

He’s a better running back.

I think I’d take JG’s arm.

All together I think it’s a wash. Hurts gets the nod due to winning experience.
I've been a JG supporter all year but there is no comparison between he and Hurts, Hurts is better in most facets besides maybe protecting the football, JG through barely any picks this year but other than that Hurts is just a much more elite athlete in general

If so, that's a positive for us.

I don’t know why Saban would require the coOC who doesn’t call plays to stay through their season.

I also don’t think Tennessee can let this drag on.

I think the only QB unseating JG is himself. Unless we sign a stud Frosh and simply start from scratch I just don’t see it: and I’m a noted JG critic. Do think they give Shrout every chance to beat him out. Surprised if Hurts could m learn and coalesce fast enough to be THE MAN.

I am confused about how Jalen Hurts fits into our offense. We had promising WR play especially if Calloway and Jennings come back, and we would add a very gifted running QB? I remember watching the first 2 years that Jalen Hurts and thinking damn he is running through holes that anyone can run through, created by Bozeman, Williams and Robinson. The only way a graduate transfer makes sense for Hurts is if Kennedy comes back healthy, Carvin or Tatum takes a step forward and Wanya and/or another of the Freshman makes a move into the starting lineup. We need to solidify this offensive line because it is the only way any OC or QB will be successful.

maybe. i think if we know who we want, why wait if we don't have to? even if he's going to stay on in current position until after the post season.....

i think if it goes on too long, as those other dominos fall, we could wind up missing out.

obviously just speculating, i have no idea who's on the list and who's not. a lot of what i'm speculating on is if it's Enos. i could see that playing out a lot like Tosh did last year. i think at one point we felt sorta good about landing him, until he got promoted to DC. could see the same thing here with Enos, if that's the play.

Not necessarily. Saban let Joey Freshwater go early. I think it could be another double duty thing if its Enos. So that way our recruits who are signing on Dec 19 know who its going to be. Also read that Saban could be targeting Kingsbury for OC if Locksley bolts.

he wanted Lane to get out. thought he was a distraction at that point. not the same thing.

i don't care if he's actually here or not. i just htink if it is Enos pruitt has his heart set on, you need to have him locked up so you can just proceed on with recruiting and not miss a beat. the only thing that would matter in that regard is just being able to answer the question "who is it gonna be?"

i don't buy the Kingsbury to Bama rumor. that was a shock piece if anything. i think Kingsbury heads to the NFL.
