This doesn't even rise to the level of rumor. You know, it is still rumors. I usually don’t get involved in rumors and post here. When I hear somethings that is going on, I will post. You can look all over the place on this board, and see that I don’t post about rumors. If I think they are in a way the truth, then I will post what I hear or know. But I stay out of these situations. I know rumors are just rumors, but I’ll take a wait and see approach on what my friend is hearing around campus.
My friend that is in Knoxville says that the word is that Payton Manning May be in Knoxville before New Years.
Also is hearing that the former Texas Tech coach may be interviewed before New Years.
Lol. Peyton Manning would be an awesome hire. Unfortunate that I never ever see it happening.....
Talk about bringing the fan base together.....
That's harsh....why would he keep Phil from being AD. Maybe he was just doing what was expedient at the time....I do question his motives for trying to sell Schiano. But he's prickish I guess.Doubt it would bring the masses together.
Peyton signed off on Butch, kept Phil from getting AD job that went to Currie, and signed off and helped sell Schiano. Dude is a punk.
He is sane. You on the other hand calling Peyton a punk are an ass. Peyton has forgot more about football than any of your OCs you want here.

I do agree on that, but how much more would that have fractured the fan base? There is a certain segment of the fan base that don't like Phil and blames him for this mess. The Mannings want to own a NFL franchise at some point. Haslam’s wanted Currie and Peyton backing him was just means to an end.
Peyton could have easily made a public push to get Phil in over Currie. Speaks volumes.
Haselwood has said that he was going to sign on December 19 (somewhere) and then not make it public until the AAA Bowl which is the 4th or the 5th, so that doesn't make any sense. That is cool to sit and listen. I don’t know the answer to that one, but I did post that Haselwood would like to know who the offensive coordinator is going to be before Jan. 4th. That is buzzing around on campus tonight.
