Reading Chip Lindsey’s bio is all I need to see to think he’s the guy.

- Alabama and Georgia high school experience and recruiting ties
- worked at Hoover
- successful OC experience as a playcaller
- SEC experience
- none of the baggage Freeze has (that Title IX lawsuit still has to be fresh on the minds of university administrators)

The pitch is probably as simple as “we will pay you more than Auburn and you won’t have Gus second-guessing you at every turn.”

I thought it was reported last year that Pruitt wanted Freeze and the SEC said no, I don't think Helton was the first choice. If Fulmer has enough pull within the admin then the SEC is the only obstacle to Freeze

Same people that told me Helton was leaving a month ago. Just passing you guys names i hear. Mac, Enos, Lindsey, freeze, Tony Franklin are the names I’ve heard. Could mean something could no.

Mac actually intrigued me his HC experience could help Pruitt too.
